im taking her to the vet tomorrow with a stool sample. i have a 6 month old pug puppy.
she has been having runny and loose/soft stools for 2 days. for the first night she had them, it started at midnight when she went potty in her crate (which she hasnt done in forever) and whined, so i woke up and brought her out, where she had very runny stools. then she had to go out again at 2 am, again at 430 am and again at 645 am. she didnt eat that morning at all either. so that night we fed her again and she ate the whole bowl and drank lots of water, but still had weird bowel movements.
this morning she ate her whole bowl of food and drank water like normal. she went potty & it was a small amount of soft stools with a dark greenish mucus. im wondering if she just got into something she shouldnt have & we didnt see her do it? she is playing actively and behaving normally. she is eating & drinking normally (except for the first morning) and she seems ok otherwise. she has not vomited at all.

my dog does not like his nails to be clipped so i don't do it as often as i should. but lately i noticed that some of his nails are fraying (breaking off in pieces). and when i tried to clip his dew claw he cries out in pain. now whenever he sees the clipper he runs away from me. what can i do? and what causes the nails to fray?

I have a two year old miniature schnauzer that has the worst case of separation anxiety I have ever experienced!! When left alone he salivates so much his beard and paws, as well as the tile floor of the area he is left in, are soaked with slobber. He will also bang his head against the door of the area in which he is left. It is not a particularly small area either, consisting of a laundry room and my bedroom. I am starting to become very worried for his safety while I am gone. I have a DAP that is in the area and has not worked at all. I am a student and am really busy right now and don't know if I have the time for the behavioral treatment that some suggest (leave him for a minute until he doesn't react, then for five, etc), plus I don't think it would work. I am desperate for a solution, any ideas would be appreciated!

I have a 3 yr old male cocker spaniel (not been fixed). I've lived alone since I had him. Normally, he doesn't pay much attention to me until others come over. Than he has to jump in my lap/beg for attention. My b/f just moved in a few weeks ago, so my dog is constantly trying to get attention. He gets plenty between the 2 of us, but he always wants to be in my lap now. When i push him off, he tries to sneak up and stand on the back of the couch behind my head. He's been trained since a puppy to sleep on the floor, now he tries to sneak on the foot of the bed at night. Please help. He is driving me crazy!

Does anyone have information on Yorkie breeders in the Dallas/Fort Worth area? I know it is a little late in the game for this holiday season, but any information, whether for a breeder or not, would be appreciated. Also looking for a relatively reasonable price.
Thanks.

I am about to start training to be a police officer and I am going to start jogging. I would love to take both my dogs with meand I know they would love to come, but I can see the disaster now. They will constantly get distracted and pull me in 5 different directions while I'm trying to keep my heart rate at a certain level. I've never taken them jogging before. Should I just walk them to death first? Let them get their business out of the way? The problem is that I won't always have time to walk for an hour prior to running.

Any thoughts on how to get two young high energy dogs to just run and forget about the squirrels and other distractions?

Thanks.

I tell my guys not to leave my girl out alone when she's in heat, but, you know how that goes. Her heat cycle slowed down after one day and that's not usual for her.

My knees hurt so bad it is ridiculous.
I can't get up off the floor. I can barely walk.
Some say its becasue of our weather but they've never done this before.
I am only 22 years old and I feel like crap.
I can't get out of the tub.
What could it be??

My vet recommended it, but I'm having second thoughts. He's getting fixed on Friday, and they can do his stomach tacking at the same time. I got him from a backyard breeder who was going to have him destroyed because he is deaf, so I'm worried that he's got a combination of genetics that may predispose him to stomach flipping.

I have no intentions on breeding, therefore gender is not a preference. My children have become fasinated with the breed, however never in their wildest dreams would they imagine having their own. Any option to obtain a "Pug" would work ie; Purchasing, Adopting, Recieving a "free" or Rescue "Pug".

Do you no longer speak to your neighbor because of a problem over a pet? Did your neighbor get angry at you because of your pet?

I havent talked to my neighbor in over a year because she let her dogs poop in my yard EVERY DAY, 7 DAYS A WEEK between 7 and 730 EVERY MORNING, and then usually again in the afternoon. Once she stood there laughing while the dog did it.One day I lost it, I told her to get her sh*tting dogs off my property and keep them off after asking her nicely at least 10 times not to let them do that.

About 2 yrs ago my husband brought home 2 Jack Russells. I have 2 female Labs I have had them for 8 yrs. So I do not mind taking care of them, but I am expected to take care of his dogs as well. Please keep in mind that he has never took care of my Labs. I have to do everything with the dogs and the kids. I can let my dogs run in the yard without a problem his dogs willl run off if they are not on a leash. He will not even take them out for the bathroom. If I do not take them out he puts them in the kitchen and lets them use the bathroom in my kitchen and makes me clean up after them!!! I have to feed and water them as well. These Jack Russells have destroyed our couch, and most of my kids toys, They have pulled chunck out of the carpet. Even when the Labs were pups they didn't do anything like this. The wosre thing my Labs ever did was chew up one of my running shoes. My husband gets mad if I talk about selling his dogs . They dogs are worse than my 3 kids What should I do?

We have just been accustomed now to make sure no items are left on the floor, We have a one year dog who eats material items, literally. He eats pieces of towels..that we use to dry him up when it is wet outside, he eats the baby's slippers if they drop on the floor, he eats washcloths..we found out the hard way as we were cleaning up his pooh from the backyard shortly after getting him (As we got him at 11months old) we discovered some of our household items in the feces. Any advice or sugggestions about this..any other dog owner experience the same thing. He is a Golden Retriever, I dont know if this has to do with their breed or not.
