im taking her to the vet tomorrow with a stool sample. i have a 6 month old pug puppy.
she has been having runny and loose/soft stools for 2 days. for the first night she had them, it started at midnight when she went potty in her crate (which she hasnt done in forever) and whined, so i woke up and brought her out, where she had very runny stools. then she had to go out again at 2 am, again at 430 am and again at 645 am. she didnt eat that morning at all either. so that night we fed her again and she ate the whole bowl and drank lots of water, but still had weird bowel movements.
this morning she ate her whole bowl of food and drank water like normal. she went potty & it was a small amount of soft stools with a dark greenish mucus. im wondering if she just got into something she shouldnt have & we didnt see her do it? she is playing actively and behaving normally. she is eating & drinking normally (except for the first morning) and she seems ok otherwise. she has not vomited at all.

I used to work at a vet hospital and have several dogs myself. It sounds like the common case of diarrhea. Since your puppy is acting normally I don't think it's anything too serious, better to be safe than sorry though.
I would recommend that you feed her a bland diet until it clears up, cooked rice with boiled chicken work well. Gradually work in her regular food until she is back to normal food and all better.
Hope this helps!

It's probably wise to take her to the vet, since she's so young.
If my dogs get into something and have runny stools, I dont' feed them for 24 hours, which pushes whatever is in their stomachs out and empties them. Then they seem to feel better.
Also, my pit actually became allergic to most dog food and was having runny stool for a couple of months until I found the food that suits him.
It could be anything. Taking her to the vet with a stool sample might be the best thing to do.

Sorry but, if I took one of my dogs to the vet every time one of them had loose stools, I would live there. The pup either had a stomach virus that has run its course or got in to something it shouldn't have. It sounds like the worst is over. If the dog wasn't eating or drinking I would be concerned but, if it is acting fine and back on schedule I don't see the need for a vet visit. Everyone here says GO TO VET but how many of them are running there constantly. At six months of age I am assuming your dog has had shots and check ups? I worm my dogs myself . I would just wait until it gets back on track and worm it.

I assume no people food. That is not always good, stick to veggies, my dog loves frozen green beans and carrots the best. It may be intestinal parasites so take a fresh sample with you. If they see no ova in the stool request they give a general worming anyway as puppies almost always have them. You are feed ing a great food so keep up the good work.

There are Many things that can cause soft stool. Yes she may have gotten into something, or it may be worms, stress... the list is long. Your best bet is to take a fairly fresh sample to the vet have them check it out. Sounds like she may have parasites. With a dog that small it is very important to treat them right away before she starts to loss weight and get really sick...

I wholly believe Priyanka. It could be very so much a soliloquy of a lonely center. A gentle center that's very so much within the mildew of a lilting and responsive harp. But who's the 3rd person - aside from you & Prince Charming? Who is the witness & the opposite being on the apex of this beautiful triangle, the only whio says: YOUR prince fascinating will come on a horse and take YOU away (caps mine). When you may have an reply to this you are going to recognise what on this poem is lacking and why you uncover whatever mistaken in it. Your poem reminds of those strains: Yeh mera diwanapan hai, Ya mohabbat ka junoon - Tu jo aaye ya na aaye Hum karenge intezaar.... You would possibly come or you can also no longer, But I shall watch for you! "Coz, yeh mera diwanapan hai, Kar lo jo karna hai! Your ideas are regularly natural & blameless.Keep it up!

poor food or food change is my guess.. some lower quality foods are not consistant with ingredients so even swithing bags can cause tummy upset (particularly if it includes the mystery ingredient "meat meal" which can be different dead animals from bag to bag...
worms? or other - the vet will be better help than us

my puppy had this too. i took him to the vet and he had a little bacteria infection in his stomach and they gave him a shot and some antibiotics. they said it was colitis. Some breeds are prone to developing colitis but it can be treated
