My two dogs love to pee in the same spots about 5 feet from the back door. The smell ebbs and flows but recently is especially foul and I wonder if there is some chemical that will diffuse the smell.

She is a stray dog we have only been feeding her for a week and we know she is pregnant. Does anyone know of a web site or just general advice on what to do when her pups come. We wanted to take her to the humane society but they would kill her on the spot plus all of her pups and I just couldnt live w/ myself so I have just adopted her untill the pups are old enough.

My dog had 9 puppies a week ago. Last night we brought the runt in because he seemed very weak and we figured he was not getting fed, since all the other pups were thriving well and seemed healthy. Well this morning we went out and one of the pups were missing. We looked everywhere. My father says that dogs sometimes eat their young if they die, or are sick. But wouldn't there be some trace of blood. or fur? Will there be bones visible in here poop??

My boyfriend Thad has raised his pitbull Brown-Eye and potty trained her, but Judas is just getting 2 months old. He and his sister Lilith were just two of a little of eight, and Lilith was the runt, he was the prettiest. Well, the day after we got them for free from a friend, the rest of the puppies died from parvo. Now, we're raising them, but we can't figure out how to get them to use the bathroom outside. I know that they're too young to know yet, but I want them to hurry up and learn. I'm getting tired of stepping in crap everywhere Thad and I walk. I've tried making him sit outside when he uses the bathroom in the floor until he begs to go inside, smacking his butt or nose, and just putting out newspapers. All he can do is the newspaper thing. I'm afraid that he's going to grow up being the only Red Nose Pitbull who uses a litter box or something. =(

I moved and my dog goes into a state of hysteria everytime I leave him home alone. It breaks my heart but I can't be with him 24hrs a day and I can't afford a dog-sitter. He howls and barks and it disturbs my neighbors.

I don't know why. He usually goes every day. We haven't been giving him any different food. The only different thing is that my dad is in Canada and has been gone for about 6 days, but this shouldn't affect him. My dad has been on many business trips before, and my dog is acting completely normal (he's not sad) except for the fact that he hasn't done this business for multiple days. He's gone "number one" but not "two". What is going on, and how can we help him?

I live in Michigan, and it's actually unseasonally warm right now, and when it does get very cold I let my dogs stay inside while I am at work (can't do it all the time, they love to distroy everything I own) so while I am at work (about 8 hrs a day) they are outdoors in a 10x10 covered dog kennel with 2 large, insulated dog houses. My dogs are both lab mixes, one about 45 lbs, and the other about 65 lbs. Any interesting suggestions on how to help them stay warm while I am at work during the day?

If not then how do people who go on about 'leaving dogs alone in the day is cruel' pay for there dogs food vets bills, and so on, just a thought.

About a month ago my folks got a female beagle puppy. But my Mom and older Sister have asthema and my sister has a hard time breathing from time to time. So we're selling our beagle, she stays downstairs in the kitchen in a exercise pen in our town house.

She'll be 15 weeks old tomarrow so she can't take a bath just yet.

Does anyone have any advice on what to do?

I really want to keep this beagle puppy!

My beagle mix died two years ago. We do have a male pug and if we kept the beagle we were going to breed her with him.

But does anyone have any advice on what I can do?

No jokes or wise cracks please.

He is very lethargic to very active, he loses control momentarily of whether he goes to the bathroom or not once in a while, he won't eat, he won't drink. He isn't mine so I can't do anything with it, which bothers me. He also seems like he is very sore a lot of the time. The neighbors won't do anything and neither will animal control. He is very young, maybe around a year, and I believe he is either a German Shepard Chow-Chow mix, or a German Shepard Shar-Pei mix. Please help-what do you think this "disease" is? I really need to know! Thank you!

There are so many people asking questions about the breeding process. I don't understand it! Is money more important to people then the lives of living breathing creatures?

I would like a good solid justifiable reason why there should be more dogs in this world. And I don't want to hear about money, or that your dog is wonderful and would produce great pups for families with kids.
