Help Please. My dog is 11 months old and she is sick. When I went to sleep she was fine. I woke up about 30 minutes ago and she was moaning. She shakes when she sits on her back legs and she will not stand. She is normally a very hype dog..she is more than active...we have 2. She is very greedy and eats everything she finds. i also give them to many treats..they are spoiled...My husband thinks she has a tummy ache..if she does what can i give her to make her go potty. I don't think that is because she will not walk or really respond like she normally does when we call her, or play with her. I am in a panic..the 24 vet said to wait and watch her. Please any thing will help, if you have been here or have any suggestions.

i had my friends aunt watch my puppy for three weeks while i went on vacation. he is a 5 month old pitbull. when i left him he was healthy and vibrant and had lots of energy, he was a good body weight and very muscular. i came to pick him up today and he is skinny as **** and very lethargic. he wont play he wont eat even when i try to give him his favorites. you can see that he has lots a lot of weight, almost can see his ribs, i dont think she fed him at all while i was gone. also his poop is liquid. he was fine when i left him, i dont know what to do now ot get him to eat again. he wont touch anything, he did however drink some water. any advice on how i can get him to eat again??? please help.

I'm serious, I think it's time to get rid of him. I'm gonna take him to the pound tomorrow when my boyfriend is asleep.
I can't even figure out where the smell of piss and poop is coming from even after I have mopped up my whole entire house.
(I had to take the rugs out when he got here and so we only have hard floor)
I've taken everyones advice but now I see that I'm just cut out for a dog that is well trained. I don't want any pets and I'm glad I've learned this now. One day my children will ask me for a dog and I will remember this horrible experience.

the other day my dog was limping from her back leg. She was pretty much walkin on 3 legs. But today, i notice her limping leg looks okay and she seems to be walking and running w/o any stress. Should i still have her check up anyways or feed her some joint enhancement pills they sell at petstores?

Every time I take her out for a walk she wants to stop and eat grass. That is all she will eat. I finally got her to eat a little bit of her puppy food when she saw my cat eating it, but she wont eat it at any other time. Any suggestions on how to get her to eat her puppy food?

My 1 year old German Shepherd/chow/lab mix has a couple of dark spots if you put your hand through his fur. When I try to pull it out it obviously hurts him because he tries to bite me. When I pull it out it is all flaky, before it was in just one spot but now its in 3 spots on his back. My friends told me it could be ringworm, or either because my other dog bites him while they're playing and rips the fur out. Once I pulled enough of the flaky stuff out, there was just dry blood under it, I can't take him to the vet at this time, but I plan to take him tomorrow. Is this skin problem something I should be really worried about?

I feed my dog 1 cup of these diet kebbles each day, and she usually eats it by nighttime, but for the past 2 days, she hasn't touched her food. I started to worry, but the thing is she acts the same. She was still fast when I ran her and is still hyper as usual.. she just seems to be eating less now.

I had to tear up a doggy biscuit and mix it into her regular dog food. she immediately ate her dinner for the treats, but she didn't finish the whole thing, unlike of her since she usually finishes all of her food.

my dog is 9 and 3/4 already.. so she is pretty old. but she still acts like a puppy. should i take her to the vet now or should I keep waiting if this behavior continues?

i took him to the vet this morning because the wound had tripled in size, and since it did she could look at it better and said that it actually looks pretty good , just a little infected, so she ordered hydrotherapy on him twice a day, and said that although his wound looks bad its actually superficial. she put him on 2 antibiotics. and said that if i can keep the infection under control then he will make it, he has gained weight and seems to be in overall good health,

i just wanted to say thanks to every1 for their support and answers during this trying time.

I have an 18 month old neutered male dog that keeps peeing on our couches and our bed (usually on my husband's pillows) We have two other dogs that are housebroken just fine. I think he is marking either because of dominance or insecurity issues. I don't know what to do to get him to stop. Soon I will have no choice but to give him up and I will feel horrible about it.

My miniature dachshund is about to deliver puppies. How do I know when she is in labor? It's been 60 days which is the normal gestation period. Thanks for all your answers.

Her puppies are moving inside of her. I can feel them.

I adopted a dog a few weeks ago from the shelter. I started using a crate immediately when I wasn't home and at night. A week after I got him, I went out of town for the weekend. Someone was staying at my house while I was gone to take care of all of my animals. Ever since I got back, my dog freaks out about the crate. The person staying here didn't do anything out of the ordinary except let my dog sleep on the bed with him one night.

Do you think he's freaking out because he's scared I'll leave him again or what? Please help!

I've always wondered what my Kokomo was mixed with. I've been told he was Dachshund Terrier, but what kind of terrier? I thought Beagle (I know Beagles aren't Terriers) was a possibility because his sister looked VERY similar to another dog we had years ago (she was dachshund/beagle). Does anyone have any ideas??

When he was younger (he was getting gray in these pics), he was completely reddish-brown and got the dark markings a little later (around 1 year).

Thanks for any help and ideas!

I have 2 pitbulls. They are brother sister same litter. They are gorgeous and come from champion bloodlines. They are 8 months old and the girl is pregnant I was going to get her spayed at 9 months too late I guess. Are the pups gonna be okay?

I've done research on a few breeds but I haven't found any that I'm really sold on yet, or even slightly leaning towards! I'm moving into a large apartment/smallish condo sort of deal with my friend next year and I want a puppy. So I need something that's relatively small (not like a toy dog or ridiculously tiny or anything), kind of medium-sized, doesn't shed a lot, and is pretty easy to train. I've been really interested in the miniature/bull terrier if anyone has more info on that!

My labrador is constantly biting and scratching his skin and paws, sometimes until they are raw. He has been to the vet several times for skin scrapings which always come out negative for everything! He does not have fleas. We have tried feeding him wheat free and corn free diets which didn't seem to help. We also tried washing his bedding in perfume&dye free detergent. Any other ideas?

Some dog owners told me that it was best and natural for dogs to gradually switch to raw meat.
Is this really a good idea and is this okay for puppies too?

Okay I know there are alot of questions out there about house training pets. But I feel like none fit my story. I have a beagle she's 8 months. and My boyfriend just got a puppy basset hound. Well we just bought this house and when we moved in the carpet was fairly new, but with my beagle we ended up tearing the carpet out and putting in wood floors because it was bad. SO my beagle finally got house trained a little bit (only some accidents). But now that the puppy is here, she's been peeing EVERYWHERE, on my bed, the futon, couch, area rugs. The puppy too, he's 9 weeks old. We bought a crate, but we're not sure what to do. At night we put the puppy in it and then in the morning let him out, but during the day he pees everywhere, even 5 mintutes after we take him outside, and my beagle is nonstop peeing too. They're ruining my house! How do I use the crate? Do I need to buy 2 of them, or can they share the same one? PLEASE SOMEONE HELP US AND OUR SWEET (BUT DRIVING ME CRAZY) DOGS TOO!
