I've always wondered what my Kokomo was mixed with. I've been told he was Dachshund Terrier, but what kind of terrier? I thought Beagle (I know Beagles aren't Terriers) was a possibility because his sister looked VERY similar to another dog we had years ago (she was dachshund/beagle). Does anyone have any ideas??

When he was younger (he was getting gray in these pics), he was completely reddish-brown and got the dark markings a little later (around 1 year).

Thanks for any help and ideas!

His ears are too short to be Doxie/beagle.. His hair is ruffed around the neck, and his ear sstand a bit from his head, so I would guess Doxie/Corgi.. He also has more the collie eye..Yep, I think Doxie/Corgi...Possibly Sheltie..

It looks like a Jack Russell/Dachshund mix to me. The hound characteristics probably come from the dachshund side rather than any beagle. It's not possible to tell from his sister either as puppies from the same litter can have different fathers.

Wow, I'm shocked at my own insight. It does look a bit like Beagle, but "Corgi" kept popping into my mind. I grew up with the family dog (a corgi/sheltie mix), and my parents now have a purebred pembroke corgi....I really think it's dachsund/corgi.

It does look like a beagle that she is mixed with. He's so sweet, too!
