If you are looking for a specific breed than I have to pick a Labrador Retriever. Best all around family dog. My favorite (pardon the USA spelling) is the Jack Russell.

Schipperke (A.K.A Belgian Barge Dog). A smaller breed of dog (similar in size/build to a Pomeranian) with much of the personality and traits of a large dog (ie, not at all high-strung). Loving, loyal, able to amuse itself, and extremely intelligent.

My personal favorite is the Norwegian Elkhound. Followed closely by Siberian Huskies and Shiba Inus. But all dogs are wonderful!

We have a Chihuahua. He looks just like the Taco Bell dog. And is the most loveable little dog I have ever seen in my life. He has no enemies.

For smaller dogs, I like Jack Russells, Rat Terriers and Dachshunds, but I'm a little biased since I have one of each. =) For bigger dogs, my favorites are Labs or Austrailian Shepherds.

I like weeny dogs they are lovable little dogs, they dont take up much room and there really clean, protective and easy to take care of and there clean house dogs. I also love rottweilers too. Thats my favorite outside large size dog.

I personally love the look of great Danes.. but i would never trade my cattle dog for one.. Laid back and great with kids
Poodles may be apparently the smartest but they are the worst for biting.. Dosent matter the size

My personal favourite would have to be a Basset Hound. I live in Scotland, they are not too popular here. I bought her in the USA. I adore her long ears and short legs. oh, so cute.

Rat Terrier or Jack Russel. A bit hyper but very very smart!
