Landscaping companies usually carry an enzyme-based solution that neutralizes odors. I'm sure you could buy some from them. It won't kill your lawn like bleach would.
Try the lawn and garden section of your local hardware store too--they may carry a similar product.

I'm not sure about chemicals, but I do know that if you an make a regular habit of watering down where they go, it will help dilute the urine and the smell. Best to follow out right after they've done the job, but a regular watering of the area daily should help enuf. We have to do this to prevent the yellow spotting that happens in the grass from the urine.

There's a product called Nature's Miracle you can get at any dog store. I've used their indoor product which gets stains and smells out of fabrics and furniture. I'm pretty sure they also sell a product that gets rid of smells outdoors as well. What's great about this product is that not only does it remove the smell for you - but it completely removes the scent for dogs so they will stop going in the same spot.

No, you don't need to call the vet, just in case some idiot sent you that as a response to the question. -.-
I don't know for sure, but there might be a type of medicine to put in their food or water to make their pee less strong. Try not to feed them tablescraps, that has an effect on their poo and urine, also it makes their lifespan shorter. To get rid of the smell that's there, the easiest thing I know is spray water on it and make it muddy, it should cover the smell. Also, when they go out to pee, make them go to a different spot. Spray some perfume or something where they were peeing to get rid of the smell. Oh, you could put some kitty litter down there. =) I don't think they'll like that, and the rock things in the little are supposed to hide odors.

go to your local feed supply store and buy a bag of lime.
Sprinkle it around the area and let it sit. It will not hurt your yard but it will take the edge off the odor. Keep adding a light layer daily and you will see a significant difference in a few days. If the odor is extrememly bad then you can till some into that spot.

I'm not sure if it will hurt your grass or not, but I know vinegar works great on getting the smell out!

I use to work at the R.S.P.C.A and we used a thick citrus smelling bleach. Just make sure you rinse it away properly once you have scrubbed the spots.
Hope this helps.
