by mixing different breeds to come up with a specific breed.

So for those of you with purbreds, yours was once mutt too until recognized by the AKC, etc.

Just think the next breed that may be recognized will be...the Cock-A-Poo.

One day it may be the Grifftese or a Puggle.

Grifftese is a maltese/brussels griffon mix and are adorable, kind, gentle most loving dog I have ever owned.

If you have one, what do you think of the breed?

I have a chocolate lab who has to spend at least 8 hrs daily 3 days a week at home alone because I work. I adore my dog and was wondering if I should get him a playmate. Do dogs like to play with other doggies?

She seems healthy otherwise...playing and eating normally. The only thing is she is sneezing a bit more than normal. She I rush her to the vet or wait and see? She has a checkup scheduled for next week.

He didn't have the lumps when I got him from the pound at about 6 weeks old and I noticed them about 2-3 weeks ago and told the vet at a check up. Vet says could be cartilidge bumps from other dogs biting/playing with his ears. Again he was only 6 weeks when I got him from the pound so he hasn't been with a lot of dogs who have been chewing on his ears. One of the lumps/bumps seems bigger to me so I am telling my vet again at our visit next week. But I wondered if anyone had any idea what it is or even ever heard of this?

What is your favorite breed of dog (if you like mixed breeds just put that) and why?

my boy dog has had the snip although this was done prior to me getting him. He got tied on numerous occasions to my girl dog during her season and whan I took her to boarding kennels the lady there said that he cant have 'been done' properly as they shouldn't tie toghether, she said that sometimes testicles can be left inside dogs bodies. Now my girl is acting really funny and is hungry all the time. How do I tell a real pregnancy from a phantom one as if shes pregnant she will only be 4 weeks. I don't want to take her to vets yet as an ultrasound scan will cost a lot and will be a waste of money if she isn't pregnant. please help.

We have far too many dogs to spend 150 dollars for 6 months of Frontline for my VERY large dog.
Up until now, we've been able to at least keep the fleas at a minimum.
Home remedies aren't working for these fleas. We live in a sandy area... so we have wondered if these are sand fleas? Whatever they are, they are immune to every flea product I have tried.
The last product I bought was a small spray bottle I paid 25 dollars for, obviously price doesn't make much differance when it comes to flea products from the store.
They do nothing whatsoever, I wash all 4 dogs, spray all of them down, flea comb them, and treat the entire house. By the middle of the next day, they are crawling with them again.
I've never seen anything like this before.
Surely someone must have a clue?????

I don't understand, my dog can drop a two pound loaf and just two kicks of his feet, and he is done. I drop a load, and I get shiite all over my butthole, and am wiping for like ten minutes. The dogs butthole is clean as a whistle? I'm not suggesting we give my dog the white glove cleanliness test, but when I get done pinching off a deuce, my anus and all affected areas look like a Jackson Pollack painting. How can dogs shiite so efficiently?

We had to put down our cocker spaniel, and my wife wants another fluffy dog about that size. Nothing really small but something under 20 pounds I guess.
