Here's the thing, she had bad teeth that my dad didn't know about and one came out while she was ripping away at her bedding during labor. she won't eat anything but moist food. I have been putting the puppy food the vet gave us into it, but she is still having trouble eating. How much should these minis gain per day? they are going at a rate of about .5oz for now.

Some diarrohea is normal after whelping, but should be black in color or slightly green that is the afterbirths coming through. If it is not black but yellow/runny, seek vet. advise.

Did you worm her in pregnancy? Is the diarrohea smelly? Is the pups poo normal or a yellow grainy color?

I would definately worm with a product safe for lactating B's. Watch what you feed her, give no tinned food for a few days as most tin stuff is over 50% water, it will give the runs.

Whatever you give mum will go straight to the pups via her milk, be very careful that it does not continue for too long or your pups may fade and die. Almost a cert if she has it, they have it.

Don't muck about with home remedies. Take her to a vet if it does not clear in another 24-48 hours. Not just for her sake but the puppies too.

Great, bad teeth. How do you not notice that????? I guess she did NOT have a pre-breeding check up first, huh???? Hope you will use some of the puppy bucks to get her fixed up!!!! Hope she is not as old as she sounds!!!!!!! If she isn't, one would wonder why her teeth are so bad.
Backyard breeding is never good for the bit ch, is it!!!

She needs immediate vet care to avoid dehydration.

A little molases in her food should do the trick to a point.

Or if you have it, a dab of Tylan (sp?).
