What is your favorite breed of dog (if you like mixed breeds just put that) and why?

I don't have a favorite breed. I pick my dogs for their personalities. I've had the most delightful poodle, a shih tzu, a schnauzer, and now the love of my life is my Border Collie. He will be the last. The worst thing to do is to stick with a particular breed, because then you expect the next dog you get to be the same as the one you lost.

Well I eventually fell in love with Pitbulls. I was attacked by a stray when I was younger and I had to kill it by breaking its neck. I learned alot about these dogs after that and how people treated them and I joined many rescue leagues and pounds because I moved alot and worked with not only pure breeds but mixes and placed , I would probably say about 40 pitbulls in good homes. I currently have a Pitbull-Lab mix who I have had for 6 years now adopted from a pound. They are some of the best dogs if you raise them right and I have nothing but good things to say about them.

I like all dogs but I love mixed breeds. You see 2 dogs in one and it is better than a run of a mill lab. Instead u could get a sheltie and a lab. My FAV kind of mutt is a deagle. A beagle and dashund. It is like a beagle with a longer body and nose. Plus this way he is a people dog!

I love all kinds of breeds........too hard to just pick one! I will have to say my favorite dog breeds(just let me name 2.....) are Rat Terriers and Shiba Inus. I love the Rat Terrier breed because the ones I have had were great great dogs! They were loyal, there when I needed them, protected me, and....I could go on and on, I just LOVE THEM, no way i can pin point it down. I also love the Shiba Inu. I love them because I had a few before and they make great great dogs as well! I love them because they are unique, not many of my friends or teachers knew of them when I had one back when i was in High School.....as with the rat terrier, I can't pin point what i love about the breed, its just there! I LOVE THEM!

BOXER dogs and any kind of MIXED BREED I was raised around Boxers since I was born so I feel safe with them.And I love Mixed Breeds cuz they are always loyal.

I don't have a dog right now, but I'll be getting a Boxer at the beginning of Oct. She is so cute, only 10 days old. I have never had one, but my inlaws have one and he is the sweetest most loving dog I have ever been around, really good with all the grandkids. He's why we're getting one of our own.

I really love cocker spaniels, I've had 3. The dog I have now, though, is a mix breed. She was supposed to be a purebred cocker, but mutts are great. I have to say they are more loveable and energetic...

Mixed breed of German Shepherd - I have had this kind of dog since I was little and they seem to be very smart, loving and loyal. Not to mention really tolerant of children.
