I agree with the Shih-tzu. I have 2 (loved my little boy so much, went and got a little girl tzu the following year). Mine love to be held and curled up in my lap while I watch T.V., they aren't yappy, are very smart, very low shedding, and LOVE everyone. They do require regular grooming - but so do Cockers, so you're used to that :o)

i had a shihtzu and a chihuahua both are best dogs . lapdogs i suggest a shih tzu for their sweet caring personality and its good for apt life, and pampered like a true lap dog, for a dog thats intelligent and u can carry or stroll around that would be a chihuahua. cute and smart... like a big dog himself
