Hi,
I have a toy poodle and I bought her at three months. She is lively, fun, relaxed, playful and cuddly with me and my fiance. When she goes to the park with us and for walks she gets very scared of people and tries to run away, practicaly choking herself because she pulls so hard!

Today she pooped herself because two little children were running at her and wanted to pet the 'little puppy'.

She was even scared of my Grandma when she met her and hid under a pillow until she left! Does anybody else have a dog that is like that? I think the smaller breeds can be a little picky. Is this normal and if not, why is she scared of people? I am planning on taking her to obediance school so she can interact with other dogs but Im scared of what she'll do.

Has anyone read about any REAL scientific studies comparing dog food brands? I'm curious since all I've heard are anecdotes.

Okay, so my family has a 10 year old pomeranian mix (probably half bulldog, but thats just a guess) so the past year maybe. he's been changing a lot. hes always been tempermental, but its getting worse. he barks A LOT more and hes always barked a lot. and hes been coughing and hacking. hes always had siezures but they are getting worse. and hes loosing random patches of hair. we brought him to the vet and she said he has thyriod. we put him on meds but they didnt work and we dont want to pay for it. my parents are sick of him and he was my brothers dog and my bro is gone now. none of us really want to keep him. we dont want to give him away cuz hes just so mean and loud. we dont know what to do with him because we know our vet will be mad that we wont pay for more visits/meds, but we dont think its fair to him to have this cough and siezures and stuff. so should we put him down or let him be sick??

She doesn't really bite me, but when I come home she grabs my arm or hand with her mouth. She doesn't bite down hard or anything, just enough to keep my hand there. Why does she do this?

What Human foods does your dog like? Anything strange or funny? My dog "Manny" likes almost anything. He just ate canteloupe a minute ago. He doesn't like cucumbers or lettuce. He only get human food as a treat not all the time. Oh, and what kind of dog do you have? Mine is a cocker spaniel mix.

We will find out Monday... he is really sick and throwing up anything he eats or drinks. He has been to the vets three times in the last month. He has been sick for about 4 weeks now and the vet says his glands are the size of small golf balls. The vet says he might have limpnod cancer?
He is on two different types of medication and he got a needle of prednisone today too.
He is 12 and a real sweetheart, a gem among gems.
See pic. I will be so sad if it is cancer. We love him big time.

and they had to remove a spot on her chest. They didn't know if it was cancer but gave us some pills to try of a week and said if it didn't clear up they would have to remove it. So they did. Had to cut a 4 inch incision and can now barely walk. The vet sent it off for biopsy. But aren't they supposed to do that before they even take the dog into surgery? Thanks in advance for your opinion...

The lady who owed my house before me let her Dog Go to the bathroom in the basement and than she covered it with carpet, When I started gutting the basement the Odor got really strong and every time it gets humid in the basement the Odor gets really really bad. It is soaked into the Tile and the Concrete. Other than ripping the tile does anyone know any product that will kill the odor instantly that will also soak into the concrete and kill it.

My wife and I are considering a dog. Our little girls just love animals. We're not big animal people, but we love how their faces just light up when they see kittens and dogs. I'm a bit allergic to cats, so don't want to do that. We don't want all the dog hair in the house and prefer a small dog. Should we even get one, and what kind?
