We will find out Monday... he is really sick and throwing up anything he eats or drinks. He has been to the vets three times in the last month. He has been sick for about 4 weeks now and the vet says his glands are the size of small golf balls. The vet says he might have limpnod cancer?
He is on two different types of medication and he got a needle of prednisone today too.
He is 12 and a real sweetheart, a gem among gems.
See pic. I will be so sad if it is cancer. We love him big time.

My heart goes out to you. I lost a four year dachshund due to back problems and he was my baby! I know what it is like to lose a dog that you love. I thought that I would never get over it. I truly griefed over him and missed him so much. So,if your beautiful dog does have cancer...you will do what is best for him as you have done all of his life. Think about how he has lived and what a joy he is to your family. No matter what just know that you gave him the best years and you will have to cling to the wonderful years that you have had with him if he should have to leave this world. Know that he has had a great life. I hope that your little guy does not have cancer please know that I will keep you & him in my prayers. This is the part that is supposed to cheer you up. God is good and cares about how you are feeling. No matter what and he loves you and he will take care of your dog because he loves you! Trust him to help you handle whatever comes your way. All the best ...

I dont think I can be your sunshine on this but just know that I had to put my precious 13 year old cat down and she was a gem too. I would say take a bunch of your old pics of your awesome doggie and make a cool collage with captions and everything! When and if he does pass, you will have a kind of framed poster of nothing but smiling, happy memories of the great times you hade with him. This question brought me to tears hon, God bless and good luck ok??? *hugs*

I know how it is when you have a dog that you are worried about! My dog had that same problem. I hope your dog is OK. My dog eventually died because my friend poisoned him. (tears in my eyes) Before he had died he was sick and my family thought he had cancer but he didn't, he was just had a cold and his throat was sore. Then I told my friend and my friend never liked my dog! My dog was a teacup Yorkie, she said she hated dogs, which is so mean! But when I left the room to get my dog a toy, I found him laying slum ply on my bed. I asked her what happened and she said that she didn't know. So we went to the doctors and it turned out he had food poison. I don't know how she did it but her mom got sued! So I hope this makes you feel understood and a little more happy. Just trust in God and pray!

OH MAN THAT SUX!!!!!!!!!!!!! my golden had major issues a few months back....my vet thought it was leg cancer. it turned out to be a torn CCL. i cried every nite so i know how u feel. but the only thing u can do is pray! pray to god that ur dog will be okay. the mary's memorare usually works. good luck to u and ur dog. while it is a hard choice, if it is cancer my recomendation is euthanization (as horrid as it sounds.). my bf's golden retriever was 11 and died from lukemia. they let him romp and play rite until he died.

but no more sad stuff. just do everything your dog likes 2 do. go for car rides, play at the park, give him a nice brushing, cuddle in front of lassie or rin tin tin. doggy things make dog and owner happy!!! once again, BEST OF LUCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :-) DOGS RULE!!
ps--HE IS SOOOOOOOO CUTE!!!!!!!!

My ex-wife's mother just had to put her dog down, i know what you are going through, i loved her dog as if it were my own, she was in bad shape she went blind and lost the ability to get around all in about 2 mo. time was real sad to say bye to her but i do know she is in a better place with no pain and more balls to play catch with than i could ever dream of throwing. I hope your dog gets well i know it is painful for all involved.

I wish I knew something to say to cheer you up, but it's hard to cheer up when someone you love is sick. So I'll just say that I will keep your doggie in my prayers (and you too).
