My ROttweiler is 8 years old.
They live between 9-12 years. It depends on the genetics
of the dog as well as how you take care of her.
I know someone whose Rottweiler has lived until 15 years, and someone whose rotti developed cancer and died at age 8.
My girl has Addison's Disease and we came close to losing her however after her pills and treatment, I think she is going to live for a few more years. There was no genetic history in the bloodlines for Addison's however it is also important to notify your breeder if your dog develops something like that.
Good Luck, I hope both our Rottweilers live for a long time.

I have 2. One is a substitute for my dog's brother, who died of cancer. He was about 12 years. Just generally, smaller dogs live longer than bigger dogs but in life there are no guarantees. You can't avoid fate. If you love the breed, why not? Treat the dog well, feed him only food w/o by-products and take him to the vet regularly. You will be doing your part - the rest you can't control. Good luck!

Seems that the average of a dog lifespan is 10-12 years of age, but it seems to vary from as little as 6 to as much as 14, depending upon the breed of the dog. This is pretty typical whether it's a purebred or mutt.

I have never owned a Rotweiler, however had a large dog breed. I believe the average life-span for larger dog breeds is between seven and fifteen years of age. Of course that is dependent on genetics, and the overall health of the dog.

The norman life span of a Rotweiler is 8 to 10 years, but if taken care of it may live longer.

My brother had a rottweiler. He lived until he was 14. It just goes to show that if youtake good care og your pets, they will live a long time.
