My 7 month old golden retriever barks at her bones that we buy her. Is this normal? Noone else is even near them.

it's normal. my dogs do that too. chances she also play bow to the bone. when the bone doesn't play with her, she starts barking at the bone. it's the cutest thing.

No my dog only barks at my kids that way I can tell if my son is trying to sneak out again..and get into trouble..but I feed Saturn people food at the table..Although he does growl at Turkey bones i will throw him.

Mine will bark at his water bowl and then paw all the water out....and sometimes does the same with his food bowl.....and he barks at bones........shoes...........sneakers.........and a table leg..anything that is a lower level then him......I think he is trying to get it to play with him...........if in doubt, call your vet..........most will give you an answer to a question that is a non medical issue over the phone.....(if they are a good vet)

my little dog does the same thing. i read in a magazine before that when they bark at their bones and prounce on them they are laughing.

Don't know, but my dog barks when she rolls around in the dirt twitching her legs.

No but my dog barks at his soccer ball, I think he is trying to make it move.

My black lab does it too. I think he does it when he gets mad cause it's like he expects the bone to "play" with him or something.

yeah...mine would bark at it...then throw it around...and if i try to take it...he'd kill me....then i find it under my pillow or something....when he didn't want it...he would run away from it...bark at it as he ran by it...somethings they do are just hilarious....
