i have an 8 week old puppy. she is currently eating purina puppy chow(dry food). i'm 20 years old and this is my first puppy...so i am not sure if it would be ok to feed her wet food and dry, as long as it is the same brand? i just don't think it's fair to make her eat the same food her whole life. thanks for the help!

Ignorance in our society runs rampant and I want to see what random people think......remember that we are in the year 2006 and that things arent always as they seem on the news and in the papers.....be open minded and understanding of the things you judge......

my german shepherd is becoming aggressive towards other people and animals. she is 4 months old and play bites me alot and i cant get her to stop biting me. but she isnt aggressive to me or my family. she loves my moms dog and my boy friends familys dogs.. it seems like any other person or animal we dont know even if they arent close or paying us any attention she grows at. her hair stands up some times too. she growled at a kid the other day.. she is a very sweet dog and is teething really bad so i think thats why she is biting me playfully. but overall she is a good dog. with a lot of potential.. she just needs to be taught to listen better.. i have been socializing her since i got her when she was a puppy.. is it possible that she is just so protective over me that she will never be able to meet strangers?

advice please !!!

I actualy have 2 Pugs. The female is good but the male, Oscar, just likes to pee. I don't think he's doing it to be bad, he just doesn't get it. We've tried eliminating the smell with products, catching him in the act, and everything else a normal pet owner would try. He knows it's wrong when he's doing it but it's almost like he forgets right after he's done. What has worked for you?

He wont walk around and just stands there with his head drooping, very still. looks like he could tip over.

Im just looking after him with my dogs until my brother gets back into town.
He wont come when I call.

I have a 4 year old toy poodle, who has been the only dog in my home for 3 years. I recently got a beagle/bassethound mix puppy and he is only 4 months old. She likes to play (pounce, chase, tug on his ears, etc...). Some of this he doesn't mind and he even plays with her, but most of the time her runs from her and hides (like he is scared of her). He seems to be very territorial only of the furniture (he growls and bites at her when she gets on the couch or the chairs). I am afraid that he will hurt her. Any suggestions on helping him learn to get along with her?

My female was not happy at first with the potential Daddy, so he spent a good deal of time "air humping" prior to the breeding. He also released a great deal of fluid, sperm or urine, unsure which. Anyone seen this before? Then she finally let him mount her, but it only lasted 3-4 minutes? Can she still get pregnant?

Hey I was just wondering what would be a good breed for apartment living as I am moving into an apartment next month and was planning to adopt a dog if possible from a shelter. I have owned dogs before, but all of them were large dogs, Husky and Rottweiler.

I have a fairly active lifestyle, and I love to run outside for exercise. I'm also a big park person and adventurer. I like to go walking in parks and doing various activities, from hiking, backpacking, watersports and snowsports.

hello... so.. i was just asking a few questions and most of their answers lead to... be the dog's leader/alpha. now. i am not the only person that the dog knows. i have a beagle. the first person she met in our family.. was my older brother so basically, she kinda thinks that he is her alpha. anything. or way i can do to make her think im her leader too? she thinks im a dumb dog and she doesnt repect me.

after i came home from school today shes lke barking and howling at me like saying" come out and play!!!! and give me food!!!!!" mmkay serious answers pls besides hitting her cus i know that already. mmkayyyyyy thanx you.

I would like something purebred, and non-shedding,of toy size.I need it to be house broken before I take ownership.I tried to house-train 2 other dogs, but I just couldnt do it.The dog could be up to 7 years old,and im not picky on breed,as long as it is low to no shedding.
