Dog food. Eukanuba..
Plus I gave him some thin slice beef last nite after his first barf. To see if he would eat it and he didnt.
I gave him water and that was what he last threw up. He seems ok now. I put him in a my chair (he loves it) and gave him a blanket next to the Air Conditioning. He just watches me move around the house now.

Ugh my dog went through this a month ago.

Give him lots of water in the meantime because throwing up will dehydrate him. If you need to feed him, don't give him usual food but something that will be light on the stomach like broth or rice.

Anyways, my dog was throwing up constantly for an entire week before the vet was available (their schedule was stupid and weird). If you are worried, you can take him to the vet as soon as possible....or you can wait it out to see if it stops.

At the vet they did a blood test on my dog, then gave him about 3 different shots (one of them was to neutralize the acid in his stomach) and then medicine to take home. Two different kinds of pills and a liquid medicine I had to give to him with a syringe (for worms). Cost more than 200 bucks....that was fun.

I suggest waiting it out if your dog isn't that bad but if he really is in bad shape you might need to take him to the doctor. They might charge you up the wazoo for it but do you really want to see the dog suffer?

When was his last vet visit? If he's "tired" and not running around as usual, he really needs a vet visit for an exam and blood work. Is he eating, and drinking normally? He may have a problem being over weight, this is not good as it can shorten his life. Dogs do throw up bile once in a while, possibly from an upset stomach. Maybe he swallowed a small piece of the bottle that you can't see. Please don't give him bottles to chew or anything like that, buy him his own chew toys to play with. Other things are just too dangerous for dogs..

Pug Throwing Up

2016-10-18 11:57:45 · answer #3 · answered by ? 4 · 0 0

My pug used to throw up the yellow goo also. She had a digestive disorder. The stuff is normal dog throw up, and dogs puke often. That said, I would still suggest a vet since Pugs can have a lot of different stomach problems.

In the meantime, feed it some Mac and cheese if possible. Sounds weird, but my vet suggests it for coating and soothing the stomach lining.Good luck.

If the dog looks really bad, definitely get it to a vet or at least call a vet and let them know what's going on. For right now, I would try giving it a biscuit or a little bit of food. My dog throws up in the morning and late night if she has too much acid and nothing to digest - the yellow stuff is bile. If the dog throws up the food or whatever then definitely take it to a vet!!!

Vomiting yellow bile is usually not serious - my terriers do it anytime their stomachs are empty. They won't want to eat anything for a little while after they throw up.

I feed them two smaller meals with a biscuit in between and before bedtime - so they're getting a little something to eat about every four hours. You have to make sure that they don't get fat - you have to cut down the amounts so they're getting the same total calories.

That nasty stuff is called bile, and its actually not that uncommon for dogs to throw it up. My dog does it quite a bit, especially when she hasn't eaten much. If there is a build up of stomach acid (say, after the dog hasn't eaten for a while or after it been asleep all night) they have to get it out of their stomach as it causes irritation. This is the bile. This isn't usually serious, although if your dog hasn't been himself lately you should keep an eye on him. If he seem to be getting any worse then you should take him to the vet, it could be an indicator of a more serious problem. Good luck, and I hope I helped.

I used to have a dog that threw up yellow liquid but it usually had grass in it too. He might have eaten something that won't pass thru his system. Is he drinking water? If not you might want to bring him to the vet.
Don't listen to what Sadie says dogs eat grass when their stomachs feel upset. Grass helps them get it out of their system. It won't hurt them.

If he's not responding to you, he's obviously feeling sick. Our puppy throws up bright yellow vomit from time to time, usually as a result of (A) eating his own poop, or (B) eating too much grass. If the dog is not getting better within 12 hours, take it to the vet. If you need a cheap vet, I suggest finding your local animal shelter. They usually provide very cheap but respectable vet services.

Call the vet and ask if you should come in with your pug. It sounds like he's probably got a virus or infection.
