My female was not happy at first with the potential Daddy, so he spent a good deal of time "air humping" prior to the breeding. He also released a great deal of fluid, sperm or urine, unsure which. Anyone seen this before? Then she finally let him mount her, but it only lasted 3-4 minutes? Can she still get pregnant?

If he mounted her and penetrated her it doesn't really matter how long they stayed "tied" together as long as he pumped enough sperm into her. Of course this is not going to be the only "get together" let them get together a couple more times. He'll get it right and she'll let him mount her. Just be patient.

I dont think you should be breeding until you know how it works and have all the information. There are so many dogs out there that already need homes besides. Get informed first, and maybe adopt or see how many are needing homes before making anymore.

Doesn't sound hope full usually they "tie" for 10-20mins.The male will actually be butt to butt with the female but also inside of her.It looks very pain full and sometimes is.

The male penis gets enlarged so it will take some time for them to get unstuck. Usually when it is done right they mate then have to stay together until he can get un stuck. but 3-4 minuets should have been enough.

She could but most likely not.
We like the tie up to be about 20 minutes or so.

Possibly... some dogs do and some don't. What breed do you have?
