I think there is no real dog breed that is bad it all depends on how you train your dog.
Since I must answer this question I would say a pitbull.
Wrotweilers, Doverman Pitchers, Matiffs, etc it all depends on how you raise your dog. If you raise him out of fear of being bitten your raising him to make you feel defenseless and that makes them feel like they have the upper hand. That is the worst way because that tells them they have the right to possible attack you. IF your raise your dog the right way then you are showing he or she that you are the master and you are not afraid of your dog, Possibly if you raise him right you may even be able to stick your hand in his or her mouth but don't necessarily try it. Besides a human bite a dog bite is the worst kind you can get. Not all dogs you see are good and not all the mean looking dogs are bad. You should always be aware of your surrondings with dogs just the way you should be with people. Don't be scared just aware.

Many people think that pits are naturally attack dogs when in reality they are terriers with a lot of muscle that some people train incorrectly because they think they are macho and give the others a very bad rap. I know several pits that are very loveable - but like all terriers, they have to be raised and trained correctly.

If you want the natural attack dogs, you want the asian "silent stalkers" - chow, sharpei, shib inu. They will give the appearance of being friendly in order to get in close for the attack. I have had a chow attack my kids while they were sitting in the back seat of my car and a sharpei attack one of my dogs asleep and on a leash at my feet. They have been bred for many centuries to do this. Akitas are also along these lines but not to the same extent.

It is first and foremost the owners responsibility to raise a dog with kindness and socializing the dog properly, however, there are breeds that are instinctively breed to fight, Chows, Pit Bulls, Roteweillers. These dogs have the instinct to attack and even if it is the sweetest dog, like Lassie a dog can turn on a young child in a second. Because we are responsible you need to worry about how you raise your dog and be in control. I don't think hearing of multiple attacks from pit bulls to the point of killing people isn't hype it is a fact. In a pack group they are even more dangerous. I live in Colorado and a woman was attacked in her yard and savagely killed by three pit bulls, who supposedly were sweet and gentle???? Then a little boy was attacked by his own dog and lost his arm here...that isn't ignorance, but education.

Well.. i think that no dog breed is the worst as the owner has the responsibilty to bring up the dog well regardless of it's dog breed.. But there are different characteristics of dogs in certain breed. Such as a Jack Russell Terrier is a dog who is a Big dog in a small body, people who want to adopt or purchase one need to consider carefully before doing so. Hence, my conclusion is that no dog is of the worst breed.

Worst is a relative term - the worst dog for one person might be the best for another. That's why there are so many different breeds. Based on the number of problem dogs I have trained and observed and seen dumped in the local shelters, the dogs that make the worst pets for the average family are:
Chows (aggression)
Weimaraners (aggression, separation anxiety)
Dalmatians (aggression)
Border Collies (too intense, high energy)
Jack (Parson) Russell Terriers (high energy, aggression, barking)
Chihuahuas (barking,housebreaking)
Min Pins (barking,housebreaking)
Beagles (digging, howling, barking)
Basenjis (hyper, impossible to train)
Rhodesian Ridgeback (aggression)
Shar Pei (aggression, skin problems)
Wolf Hybrids (unpredictable aggression)

I am the wrong one to ask on this.. I do not think there is a worst breed. It is NOT the dog's fault that it happens to be of a certain breed. Some breeds today are considered bad but they are not.. It is the naive OWNER that makes a particular dog "bad".. It is NOT the dog's fault.

It's not so much the "worst dog breed"---how about "the worst dog owners" instead?
Yep, there ya go!
I've had my fingertip ripped off by a Chihuahua (27 stitches, thank you) and seen kittens being nursed by an abused pit bull.
You figure it out, you're not stupid (unlike the many others that will answer your question with dumbass comments).
G'DAY!

Any untrained unstable dog can be dangerous. I see you have pit bulls. Most people would probably answer your question, "pit bull or Rottweiler", but I am a fan of the Dog Whisperer and know better.

i think pit bulls are one of the best dogs in the world but there are no bad breeds i think every animal in its self deserves the chance to not be labeled by its breed every dog is different although i have always had very nice mixed dogs
