I have a 27 lb, 2 yr old male Boston, not fixed, and just got an 8 wk old female pit bull pup. He is tolerating her in the same room and even gets within 3 ft of her, but she wants attention from him and wants to cuddle, but he growls and shows his teeth. We have had other aggression issues with him in the past with larger dogs. Does anyone have any advice or hints to help him get use to her quickly? Please do not recommend getting him fixed, I'm planning to get her fixed!!

I have heard small dogs are hard to housbreak but i am not sure if the Whippet is. I dont know if the whippet is similar to the italian greyhound, but the italian greyhound is very difficult to housebreak.

It seems like I spend all of my time online (here and elsewhere) telling people to please NOT breed their random dogs just because they want cute puppies or to make money. Do people realize that dog overpopulation means a death sentence for millions of (very cute, well-behaved, often pure-bred) dogs every year? And how about the health problems that many dogs have that make it difficult for them to have babies without complications? And the genetic defects (that can't always been seen until the dog gets older) they can transfer to their offspring? And just the simple fact that the world does NOT need any more dogs--we have way way way more than enough already? That dog breeding is only responsibly done by actual breeders with years of experience, not people who's idea of "research" is Yahoo?

So, why do people not spay and neuter their dogs? Is it out of selfishness (OMG my dog is the best dog in the whole entire world so none of the normal rules and facts apply), greed or ignorance?

Is it cruel to get a dog if me and my housemate will be out (and the dog will be alone) for about 7 hours a day? Are there any breeds which are more suited than others to being alone? What can be done to limit the stress on a dog?

That ur dog controls u? I got 16 dogs and 9 of them live inside. 4 of them 4 toy poodles and thay all seem 2 just control me. Like 1 of them will sit at my feet and stare at me. Just stare. With those big eyes that look like there bout 2 cry. Then she turns her head and looks at tha door, and looks back at me. So i stop everything so i can let them outside just so thay can sniff each others poopy. I drop tha remote on tha floor, i lean over 2 pick it up and thay just come outa no where and start nawin at my hair and i end up missin Family Guy so i can play wid them. Some times i think they eat better than i do. i feed one of them a bite of my steak and by tha time there all feed, no steak left. Anybody else have stuff like this happen 2 them? Or if theres any dog lovers out there just type ur fav dogs names. Yes we accept cats 2.

i have a red nose pitbull puppy, he si six month old.he is pretty big but skinny we feed him well but he not chubby like other pitbulls.his dady is really big he weight about 100 pound and has 24 inch head with a big mucular chest, his mom not big but she pretty big.She weight about 82 pounds big head too.So i dont know why he is so skinny,he has a big head and a big chest but from his front legs and down his waist he is skinny. So if anyone knows what i can feed him or give or do to him so he can be chubby ,mucular, and big like his dady.

My friend and I were going to start something called Spots Foundation. We were going to rescue stray and unwanted dogs and spay them and give them shots. And then, find them homes.
Then, well, it kinda, faded away. I guess it was dumb because we are so young but do you think I should try to start it agian when i get older? serious answers only plz

I have just ended a bad relationship and had to move back home, I'm getting a flat soon but am unsure about getting a companion dog as I can get very very lonely.

I work mostly night shifts 10-6 3 days a week and will be spending the rest of my time with my dog and family so it will not be lonely.

I know a small dog is best but dose anyone know of the best breed?

and would it be a better idea to get two dogs or a dog and a cat for when i'm not home?

Thanks :D

CJ xx
