Now is the time to get educated all about pet rescue. Volunteer at your local shelter, and you will be helping alot of pets, and learning what you need to know to do this job well.

GREAT GUNS!!! Go for it!! Don't let anybody stop you.

Well since you can not sign a legal contract until you are older and that is something you would need to do for your foundation and you are not old enough to apply for a tax exempt status you should wait until you are older.
However get in and work with a rescue now and you will be able to see first hand what works and learn what does not work. It will give you a great start when you areold enough to start your own. By then you will know exactely what you will have to do and how to make it happen.
All the rescues I work with love to have help and are so willing to help someone learn .
Good luck in your future adventues.
Don't worry about what everyone else thinks. Prove them wrong and enjoy your success.

This is great, but you can not save all the dogs. This is my opinion--- watch a show called The Dog Whisperer with Ceaser Milan on the Discover Channel. He rehabilitates dogs and trains people. Maybe become a dog trainer to help keep the dogs out of the shelters by training and educating the humans!!! Good luck in what ever you choose and God Bless!!!!!!!

Ignor the mean and ignorant comments from people about your foundation. We have a lot of cats. I have constantly had to deal with mean people who say I shouldn't look for homes for them because then people won't adopt from shelters. Well, when we find homes for our animals, we tell people they can return them if it doesn't work out. And depending on how much you charge for adoption (if anything) people who would love an animal but can't otherwise afford the other shelters prices could have a wonderful and loving companion because of you.
Go for it! Do what you love and don't listen to anyone who says mean thinkgs to you. Likely, they are jealous you can and do do something you feel strongly about and enjoy. Good luck!!

Start now by helping out at your local animal shelter and when u get older and have more money u can start the organization, and dont listen to the people who put the idea down because your doing the right thing and dont let them talk u out of it!

What you are doing is a wonderful thing. I don't know many 7th grader who is willing to give up her time to help animals in need.
Don't let other people discourage you from what you love doing...and that is to help rescue dogs. If that is your passion, then, follow your heart. I really admire your selfless act because there's not enough people out there who would want to give their time into something like this....for the animals. And I believe, the dogs you are rescuing are thanking you & letting you know how grateful and happy they are for what you're doing.

Good luck to you^^

I admire your kind heart and enthusiasm.. However, you have to be practical. It takes a lot of money for vet bills and food and crates and you have to have a large space that's easy to clean, etc. Also, there might be some zoning laws about how many animals you can have. I think you would be better served at this time in your life by helping other shelters. Bless you.

Once again, It is a very expensive venture, unless your parents are willing to fund it and take out the necessary liability insurance and proper licenses for it - you best wait until you are an adult and out on your own - try working at the humane society or a shelter as a volunteer.

See if their are some local resuce groups in your area. Ask to help out with walking, cleaning cages etc. This will help you get an idea of what you will need to start.

Also ask them how they got started and any advise they could

Best of Luck!

wait til ur older-volunteer at shelters to gain more knowledge and experience. it would be too much for u to raise all of the money and provide the care for the foundation. ur heart was in the right place tho-so dont think twice about the rude comments!
