They can live quite a long time with good care. I had a sixteen year old and now have a 15 tear old. I love Chihuahuas and always have one.

The smaller the dog, the longer they live. Chihuahuas can live for 15 years or more provided you keep him/her healthy and address any dental issues. They get icky teeth or at least mine does.

They tend to need alot of attention esspecially their diet after 10 years old!

My neighbors is 14 but she is no longer 6 pounds- she looks like a sausage ready to explode but she's still very cute. LOL
