Could be a urinary tract infection. The vet may put your puppy on some meds to see if it clears up the infection.

I'm a professional dog breeder and your puppy is still to young to completely control his or her bladder. What I would recommend is trying to make him go in the same place as much as possible so he becomes familiar with the scent. Take him to the backyard right after he eats because eating causes a gastro-colic reflex, making them need to poop and pee. Don't play with him or reward him in any way until he's done his business. He needs to learn that there's a certain spot for going potty and fun comes after potty. Don't scold him because this will teach him to be afraid of going to the bathroom. He'll start hiding and then your house will really stink! Also, praise him while he's going potty, not when he comes back into the house. You want him to know exactly what he's being praised for & if they're coming in the house, & you're praising him, he'll keep doing it. Put down newspapers in the house & slowly migrate them to the door you want your dog to use. Eventually he will get the idea because he'll smell his "special spot" in the backyard. Don't be lazy with housebreaking. It's not easy but it will be better for you and your pet to spend the necessary time learning. I would also recommend you pick up one of those little manuals at PetsMart on housebreaking. They're only about $4 or $5.

If you have told the vet about the problem and he's happy to see it next week, then it should be sufficient. If you are still worried, call another vet and get a second opinion. Sometimes dogs walk and pee at the same time, so don't worry about that. He might have a bladder infection, or becoming incontinent, you won't know until he gets checked out properly.

call your vet back and tell them you need to see the vet sooner. Or go and see another vet. If your puppy is dribbling pee there is something wrong. If your puppy stops eatting, drinking or playing or is behaving strangely take it to the vet immediately.

He's just young - didn't get out on time and nervous so he is running or walking fast while he pees. He does not have total control yet. It takes time. Be patient. Use Dawn dish soap to clean it. It works well.

Don't worry about it, my 2 dogs are about 2 years old and their old (nervous) asses still pee all over the place

Hes just too puppyish to stop and pee so he does what he wants and pees at the same time. dont worry too much, if its hot he will naturally pee more because he drinks more.

Mine used to do that. When I caught him peeing on my carpet, I'd scold him and he'd run off trailing his pee behind him. He got over it.

Make SURE you are taking him outside often. Also nerves and being scared or intimated may be making him go. good luck
