Yes,It is safe to give your dog Tums. Our old dog had upset stomach,we took him to vet.He was prescribed human prescription antacid, very expensive.(10 pills $26.00) Talked to vet after pills were finished and they said OK for Tums. He weighted around 55 Lbs. two every am before breakfast. His appetite came back and he didn't have upset stomach anymore. Hope this helps you.Talk to your vet.

Actually some people meds are ok. My vet has suggested Pepto Bismal for my dogs, but I have never asked about Tums. And, just for info sake- Benadryl is great for dogs that get wasp stung.

You want to give pepto bismol, depending upon the size. Small dogs, I would stick to a teaspoon, large dogs (50 plus lbs) you can give a couple tablespoons. Make sure it's the liquid.
