My dog had 2 tiny white worms come out of her nose and 1 out of her
anus. Does anybody know what this could be? The vet told me it was probably tape worms. They gave me meds. to treat the worms.

I was shocked about the effects of shock collars and I would never never use them, but I am not a native speaker, what is the difference between shock and choke when both the words are new to you !! Is it OK to use a CHOKE collar or are their better ways to teach my dobie not to pull me of my feet every 23 seconds ? Serious answers please.

people say just to let them interact with eachother. and i occassionally let them do this, but when i do... they end up run around the house like crazy and start jumping on eachother and biting eachother. (theyre both males..so i don't know if that might be the prob.)

I sit 3 evenings a week w/a boy and his blue healer.They have flees bad,my lab was invited also. We came home with flees, I use advantage monthy,and my boss said they do also and they have orkin come every 3 months. Any suggestions, I would like to take my dog with me in the future. As for now what should I do to rid her of these flees, I'm picking and killing one at a time. Thanks for any help.

Ok, there is this little girl in my neighborhood, who has been antagonizing and teasing my 4 dogs. She comes in my yard, and stands just out of their reach yelling at them, I have had to tell her numberous times to leave them alone, and I've seen her waving things like bats and sticks at them, and throwing stones. Her mother has told her to leave them alone, but she still does it. Today, one of my dogs breaks his chain and goes after the girl, adn bites her. Joeseff is a chow/husky/doberman mix and has never shown this level of agression before, and there are other neighbor kids that can walk right up to him. Do I have any rights here as the kid was constantly teasing him - or do I have to just roll over and take the law suit thats comming? Joe is up to date on his shots and neutered, but he was on my neighbor's property when the girl was bitten - I was cited by cops for a loose dog and have to appear in court for that - I'm worried about the other part - does the kid teasing him mater

My little girl wont stop chewing up things. Every time I come home there is something chewed up ie: my flip flops, my phone book, the cusion in the chair. What do I do? Please someone help me. I don't want to give my dog away, and I don't like putting her outside because she cries. Thank you so much.

She is a 12wk old boxer/pitt mix. We live by a lake and there are lots of geese. She ate some of their boo-boo. Could this have caused her to break out? I dont know if they are really bumps because she wont stay still long enough for me to see but they look like bumps because here hair is slightly raised in little circles all over her back. Someone please help.

He acts like something is biting him, I faithfully use frontline plus, give bath regular, never seen flea. I do walk him 3 mi. per day and noticed some seed tics. I am washing it with soap, rinse, hydrogen peroxide, antibiotic cream x2 days. He is eating, does not act sick.

Is there such thing as a small dog that doesn't shed, doesn't smell as bad as some other dogs, doesn't have too many health problems and is still cute? I'm thinking I might want to get a dog...it would be nice if you guys gave me a link to see a picture of one! thanks!

he's a chihuahua, and his breathing is fine during the day, but at night, when he sleeps, he snores and it is really really annoying. is that just something i'm gonna have to deal with, or is there something i can do to make him stop. he's 3 years old and he has snored every day since we got him when he was a puppy.

my 4 month old puppy has the 'lay down' command down pat, but when i praise her for doing what i ask, she gets back up, thinking she doesn't have to lay down any more. what can i do to get her to lay down after i'm done giving the command, and praise her for laying down w/o having her get up again?

My dog currently knows how to 'sit', 'shake hands', 'roll over', 'stay' and 'come'. I do not want to teach him 'lay down' because when I tried teaching it to him he got it confused with 'roll over' and he will now 'roll over' with that command. However I do not know what trick to go for next.

My weimaraner is in her first heat. It is approximately the second week. Her teets are somewhat swollen. I know it is normal for them to become a little more pink and visable but is it also normal for them to swell? Please help! I have searched the internet and have come up with nothing. Any information will be greatly appreciated.
