Your dog has worms. You need to call your vet and take your dog in to be wormed. I wouldn't use over the counter stuff. My vet told me it doesn't always take care of the type of worm the dog has. Your dog can also have worms even if you do not see any. Talk to your vet.
Your pet will not have to be kept over night unlike an anwer I read. Most dogs have worms as pups. Its easily treated and most of the time the vet gives your pup a medication that is liquid type so that it is absorbed faster. Then on your next visit the vet should ask you to bring in a stool sample and if there are still worm eggs then the vet will give you something else to treat that.

They are worms.. but unlikely tape worms.. dogs and cats can get several different types of worms.. just treat her and don´t worry about it.. if you have small children or are used to kissing your dog on the face, you should probably get something from the pharmacists for yourselves.. They pass between animal and human quite easily.

AND.....? They ARE tapeworms. They are contracted from the ***** while the pups are in the womb. The vet should keep the dog, maybe overnight, while he treats it. He will give it a HUGE capsule, and the pup will crap and throw up worms all over the place until they are all done and dead. So if your vet gave you something to 'take home', get a new vet.

Tape worms, while not good, arn't too big of a deal. You can even get OTC meds to get rid of them. Be sure to treat for fleas because they can contract worms if your dog eats a flea.

I had maggots everywhere my metropolis garbage can last summer time. I crammed a twig bottle with bleach and sprayed the heck out of them. After about an hour they had been all dead. So i took the hose and sprayed all of them towards the drain within the avenue. Then i bleached out the garbage can so they wouldn't come back. Thus far so good! You additionally could want to call the city concerning the grass subsequent door, easily due to the fact there might be a lifeless animal in there which is the place they would be coming from.

If they look like little pieces of rice, he is right. they come from ingesting fleas. If they are you should wash every thing you dog has been on and make sure to bag up the poop and wash your hands because like most parasites they are transferable to humans. The deworming meds. the vet. gave should kill them off, but don't be shock to see some dead ones in her poop or cough some up.
