She is a 12wk old boxer/pitt mix. We live by a lake and there are lots of geese. She ate some of their boo-boo. Could this have caused her to break out? I dont know if they are really bumps because she wont stay still long enough for me to see but they look like bumps because here hair is slightly raised in little circles all over her back. Someone please help.

Yes, this sounds like hives to me. An allergic reaction to something, such as something she ate, a bug bite, a vaccination, or something she came in contact with. I've seen this reaction on dogs from everything from bee stings to immunizations...

Call the vet, and watch her closely. If her head or neck swells to the point where her breathing becomes difficult, she will be in danger... I could tell you what the vet would probably advise, but I think it's best if you call them yourself at this point...

Hey,
It could be a number of things, while swimming she could well have gotten ticks under her skin. This would explain the bumps and would also cause her quite a bit of pain. You should go to the vet ASAP and have them take a look at it. It could also be something that her body has reacted to when she's been swimming or when she has eaten the goose poo. I would definately have your puppy looked at.

I hope it all goes well, contact me when you know what it is, etc.,

Go to the vet. She may have anything from hives to a bacterial infection. Most likely, the goose poo has nothing to do with it. The lake water, however, can cause some skin problems. Your vet will examine the dog, and decide if any testing needs to be done. Then they can prescribe the proper medications and shampoos.

It almost sounds like ringworm, but I don't know if dogs can get that like humans can...

Get that girl to the vet!!

Hey, I'd love to see a picture of her, because I'm thinking that is what my dog, Harley, is, too.

She was abandoned in my yard, and she is brindle and white...about 3 or 4 months old.

It could be ticks, some sort of weed caught in her fur, bug bites, allergies. The only way to find out is to catch her and check her out. If in doubt take her to the vet.
