My yellow lab is 8 months old and was fully house broken. I got her spayed and when she came back she started urinating in the house. I called the vet and got her on meds for a bladder infection but that was 2 months ago and she's still doing it. Anyone know why she would do this?

I just had a 9 1/2 month old female die on me a couple of weeks ago between the time we went to sleep and the time I woke up. I knew she wasn't feeling good, but I kept running water on her and it seemed like she was getting her personality back and acting normal again. I've been sick ever since. She was so cool, had a great demeanor, an awesome personality. She was my best friend by far, and I'm going crazy I have to have another little cutie soon, I keep hoping she's gonna walk up behind me, or jump up on the couch or follow me to the bathroom, or kitchen. I miss her like CRAZY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Any help would be appreciated. THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i've been feeding my golden retriever with canidae for almost 2 years now. according to internet research, it's all natural and one of the best dogfood in the market. but recently, i heard a feedback from one vet that canidae causes UTI, i want to know if there are other people with the same experience. so far, canidae is doing ok with my dog but i don't want to take the risk hearing negative feedback from other people. please share me your experience with canidae whether good or bad and give me suggestions on good and all natural dogfood which can be used as an alternative. thanks.

I have a 5 month old Saint Bernard.Very well cared for.Not usually violent at all.We have 4 small children and two cats and a black lab and she seems to fit in well with the family.but everytme someone comes in the house(regardless if they have been there once before) she barks to the point that they are afriad and want to leave.what should i do?She even shy's away from people and other dogs when we go out in public. She doesn't want anyone touching her.I thought maybe the breeder had hit her but that wasn't the case.Is this just her character or might there actually be some sort of other issue. It would have to mental considering she is in excellent health.

I mean whats the point? Wolves unlike dogs mature at 4 years of age and become independant, dogs on the other hand are wolves that have had this trait removed by human selection (called Neoteny) in order to make them more suitable pets example...over thousands of years people chose the most submissive, and people oriented wolves as pets and didnt keep the more dominant and unruly one that werent suitable to living in domestication until finally the dog emerged as we know it. SO what is the point in wanting a wolf when dogs are wolves? and also why do people always claim thier dog has wolf in it when they dont really know that and the statement is irrelevant because all dogs have wolf in them?

My 5lb yorkie-poo is scheduled to have surgery tomorrow and I am very worried about it. She has to be spayed, have teeth extracted, all 4 paws have to be fixed surgically (nail growth problem), and she has to be completely shaved to check a growth on her hip, which they may surgically remove if need be.
The vet has to do everything at once because she was knocked out before we got her and due to complications related to that, they don't want to put her under again. It will be a long surgery and she will have pain all over her body when she wakes up.
She really needs to have these things done because she has an infection, but I'm very concerned about her recovery.
Do you think a small dog can handle it? I'm going to request pain killers for her, but other than that, what can I do to help relieve her pain?

I got her at the SPCA and was told she, is a Lab Retriver+Shepherd mix. Then I took her to training classes and was told that her half black tounge means she is half chow.

My dog jumps the fence and wanders into the street and i dont want him to get hit. I heard of a spray that you can use that has a smell that iraitates dogs so much that they will not go anywhere near that area. 1) has anyone used such a product, 2) has it been effective and 3)In the absence of a product such as this what can i do so my dog does not climb the fence?
