A stuffed one. If you want a live dog, count on barking, maybe tolerating children, and shedding somewhat - even the breeds that "don't shed" still shed somewhat, just as humans shed their hair. If you are going to get a dog, be realistic. One of the best ways to get a dog that you will know something about is by adopting one from a foster home where the dog has been observed, and you will have insight. You can look at rescue groups - probably poodles, bichons, Westhiland Terriers, Cavaliers, would be a good start, but don't pass up mixed breeds, they are often healthier and better tempered.

it truly is amazingly no longer searching for a canines. it truly is better like searching for a rodent... The canines it is closest to that is a lab, because they're large starter pets. All you pick to do is get an older canines, because it received't have as a lot skill, or a youthful domestic dog, so that you'll practice it a lot less puzzling. All canines bark, and some thing which could no longer a poodle or a properly mixed poodle will shed. also, no breed of canines has contributors that are each and each and every of the very similar. canines are like human beings, all of them have distinct personalities and contours. Your ideal guess is to bypass on your community animal rescue and/or look after and visit with canines to ascertain which one is ideal for you. also, be positive to bypass to the library and do your homework so that you're prepared for the first jobs of having a canines. good success!

I have a pit/lab mix, her name is Kiddi... why? Because she LOVES kids! She rarely barks, doesnt lick or jump, and just always wants to play. Unfortuanately her downfall is she sheds something fierce, but I just had her shaved down, seems to help a bit :) Again though, it depends on the temperment of the dog and how it is raised. I, myself, was attacked as a child and still have the scars to show for it by a Yorkshire Terrier of all things. Seemed bigger when I was 5 though!

Sometimes it is not the breed but the particular dog. I have a welsh corgi he does not bark a lot and he loves people especially the small neighbor children. He does however shed a bit.

many people don't know that dogs can shed alot when they are not on a proper diet. many dogs except taco bell dogs which bark all the time and have nervous breakdowns, will bark as its communicating they need to go potties. its very easy to train a dog that is to much of a barker not to. you want to train them to bark for potties and even during emergencies. they can be trained if your child gets into trouble to bark to let you know or if there is smoke or a fire to let you know. medium to small is good dogs but any of the terrior breeds are great as they are very smart dogs and train easier. jack russel terriors, westhighland terriors, etc.

A greyhound! This is a friendly, nearly trouble-free dog, likes everybody, some of them never bark, most bark rarely. They can lie around all day if there is nothing to do, or they can play all day if the kids want to. You can adopt one from a greyhound rescue organization.

We have had two great dogs and the first one was a full blooded German Shepard and he was great he lived to be 13 and now we have a Rhodesian Ridgeback and he is so great with the kids and us and all our friends.
If you have small ones then you might want something smaller. They never bark and love to go on walks. Great with all kinds of pets to. I think that any dog is great as long as you train them.

The Beagle is the BEST all around pet for kids. And the Boxer is my second choice. So sweet and besides, whatever dog you choose, it's up to how you train it how it will be! My Rott was a kissy faced lap boy. Never bit anybody or anything. Loved all my other animals (including my sparrow). So it is up to YOU.
