Just look into a dogs eyes when they look at their owner and you will see the love. There is no love in this world so deep as a dogs love for their people. Dogs love freely, without reservation and they never judge on looks or how much money you have. That's why they are called mans best friend.
"He is your friend, your partner, your defender, your dog. You are his life, his love, his leader. He will be yours, faithful and true, to the very last beat of his heart. You owe it to him to be worthy of such devotion"

Of course it is capable of loving its owner. The love a dog feels is a kind of "family" love or affection. Most dogs will attempt to protect their people from aggression (by other dogs or people), though not all are interested in protecting property. They know their own and are attatched to them.

Of course.....I've never seen a dog that didn't love his owner no matter how bad or good they were to it. They aren't called faithful for nothing.....if only more humans were as dedicated to others

Oh, most definitely, in my opinion. It will take a personal experience to make you understand and believe it, but once that happens, no one will be able to convince you otherwise...
Put simply, "Love" is a chemical reaction designed to bond us to other beings who benefit us in ways we deem important. Usually, it's a subconscious thing. I see no reason why dogs shouldn't have the same chemical reactions, resulting in the same bonds and benefits...

totally unconditionally. cats are independant, but a dog is mans best friend. they outlast relationships and marriages. i've had gals tell me either my dog or them. i had my dog 20 years. they don't care what time you come in. they go anywhere and don't want to shop all the time. you can be a man around them and many times they are worse than the guy. i love women to death, but i'll take my dog over them anytime. they are truely their till death due you part.

Yes...I believe that they are. Animals are capable of true, unconditional love, unlike many humans that have to have strings attached.

I know my dog loves me. She cries when I leave, really with tears. And don't leave my side when I get home.
