You will notice that the females vulva will shrink again about half the size it was during heat, prior to delivery about a week or so it will swell up to as big or bigger then when in heat in preparation for birth. He will get colostrum in her breasts and might even start leaking it from pressure when she squats or curls up to chew at her tail and such.

its actually hard to tell as if many dogs get into it during the month or so in heat period. you will know when they get inpregnated. they start showing unless your breeding, the vet does sanograms on the dog. she will get fat and before she is due she will start nesting a sopt where she will want to have them.
