My poor lab/chow + mix is the best doggy EVER! I trained her without any hard hitting and with a lot of rewards. I got her when she was only 8wks and she's very obediant and gentle. The ONLY thing she has trouble with is licking when someone arrives.. a little overwhelming.
The last 4 months she has changed a lot though. When men show up at the house, like the pest control guy or anyone with a hat or holding something, she shakes. She runs and hides somewhere. She also used to play fetch with everything and now if I get her bone away from her and try to throw it she jumps like I am going to hit her with it.
My theories are that a meter reader came in back one day and was scared of her and maybe mased her, or maybe my neighbors hit her for getting into her yard (they have a guard dog) I dont know what else it could be. The vet said maybe seisures but she hasnt had any other signs. What should I do to find out if someones hitting her? How can I break her from the fear?

I have a one-year-old Shar-Pei. He has frequent gas that can clear a room. He eats organic, grain-free dog food. Perhaps the high meat content is a cause. Other than switching his food, how can we control his gas problem?

She is a 4 yr old Cavalier King Charles Spaniel. Since day one she has done this, even when she has been out and done a wee she will still wet. Apparently its very rare for a dog to foul their bed, and females dont general mark territory. We got our second dog about 18 months after her, but she was doing it before he arrived. she will wee in both beds if we separate them. Any help is really appreciated!

I have a 5 month old female deer head chihuahua and I am breeding her with my male. I need to know if she can breed the first heat or do I need to protect her from him?

He had gunk in his ear, but the vet did not find mites. She cleaned it out really well, and it helped for a few days, but now he's scratching it again. Any ideas??

My dog banged her head on the tailgate of the truck. I was opening it to let her in ...we were going to the local leash free park...she was excited and jumped too soon and whacked her head pretty hard.

This was yesterday BYW and she seems fine now...but she was really quiet yesterday and napped all afternoon and did not even jump up to greet my son when he came home from school. As I said she seems fine today but I wonder if she had a headache!

I have a 7 week old puppy that is mixed with a yorkshire terrier and pitbull, she always thinks people are playing with her and gets wild at times, she nips and it hurts and she doesnt stop when you tell her too, is this due the fact that she part pit or is it just simply cause she still a pup? She is not spayed yet either

My persian cat had the same thing and I was told it was connected to his kidneys, of which he died of kidney failure. Is this connected. He drinks lots of water and passes about the same amount (no problems in that area). We feed him frolic and leave it up to him to decide how much he wants (he is not a greedy dog) Once a day we give him meat of some variety usually winalot but he doesn't aways eat it, I think he wants to eat what we eat usually but thats not the issue. I'm more worried about the fur thing.

I have three little kittens and a tea cup poodle.
I had an older cat from the time my poodle came home with us
but its now gone.

The poodle comes with me in the car alot, she jumps in my car everytime i open the door. I think she thinks she is part human, part cat, part dog .
While I was driving I was talking with my daughter and not paying enough attention to my poodle wanting to come join us in the front seat............SHE BEGAN TO MEOW. I thought my ears were tricking me but my daughter said, Oh my that dog just meowed, so we listened and sure enought my dog meows........is this normal? lol

After a long and full life, a beloved family dog has to be taken to the vet to be put to sleep. My young child loves and will miss our dog. At what age/maturity level is it recommended (if ever at all) that a child can go with the dog to the vet to say goodbye before the dog is euthanized?
