That depends on the type of dog. Smaller dogs live longer than large dogs. The average life span would be about 12-15 years.

Normally the smaller the dog the longer it will live especially Terriers. Large dogs normal life span is 8-12 years and a Westhighland Terrier can live as long as 20 years.
