My cats kittens are sick!! I don't know exactly how old they are but they are eating on their own now and my mother is ready to give them away. But they are sick and I refuse to give them to people when they are sick because most people don't take care of their cats so they'll stay sick forever!
But my question is... I can't help them if I don't know what's wrong!!! They're eyes are so gross. Sometimes we have to take a wet wash rag and gently rub their eyes to get the crap off so they can open their eyes. And I think they're noses are stuffed up cuz there's always snot or something stuck in their nose and they "sneeze" alot.
Please help me! What kind of sickness do they have!??!

He seems to have congested sinuses and will blow out his nose regularly throughout the day when it gets very congested, liquid spraying from his nose. He seems very congested, poor thing. His eating and water drinking continues unabated, however. I am careful to wash his dishes everyday (since he often sneezes in his food). should I take him to the vet? Vets are unpleasant people: they charge you way too much and often misdiagnose. But they'll make sure you go home with a bag of their vet-endorsed pet food, of course!

My five-year-old is a huge animal lover, so when he came across a street cat he was more than happy to carry it around and play with it for a while. I found out about it only as he tried to sneak it into his bedroom. He has seen this cat again and insists on playing with it. Well, now I, overreacting parent that I am, wonder what the chances are of him getting sick from this cat. Also, needless to say, he now wants us to own a cat (we already own a dog), but I'm not at all familiar with the hygiene issues involved. Could this cat make him sick? Is a cat a convenient (health-wise) pet for a kid?

I just got a 6 month old kitten, and she is a little devil.

I know that kittens can be evil by default, but do they usually grow out of it when they get older?

We give her lots of love (when she wants it)... if we try to pet her when she doesn't want us to, or take her out of a room she's not supposed to be in, she latches onto our hand/arm/closest-body-part and bites down and doesn't let go.

We do plan on getting her declawed once our dog learns not to mess with her, but will she ever stop biting and scratching us for no reason?

A friend of mine has a very old cat which is not well. She is worried about going to a vet because she is sure the vet will put the cat down. She will miss her cat but she is equally worried how much the vet will charge for this service. I would like to pre warn her so if you know roughly how much it will cost please answer this post.

Thanks

She's about 3 months old.

she spends hours playing with her toys, climbing the tree and sitting in the window.

everytime we try to pet her, she attacks us, bites us and scratches us. We leave her alone and she will just pop out from behind something as you walk by her and attack your feet.

She purrs CONSTANTLY. While she is attacking us, she's purring. She loves being scratched behind her ears, and it's almost as if she doesn't understand that she CANT bite/scratch us because it hurts.

We've tried spraying her with water with a firm "NO'. but - it continues.

She isn't sick, she's been to the vet, she's got an appointment to be fixed next week and she's got a clean bill of health.

Is there any way to make her nicer?

She seems perfectly normally, she is about 1 month - 2 months I am not really sure because I got her from someone who had kittens, I have had her for about 3 weeks and she plays a lot, and usually when she does after she pants pretty bad and acts kinda funny and meows and stuff like that. She doesn't really drink water as much but she loves to drink milk [maybe theres an issue there I'm not sure] she is playful and fun but I'm just getting worried about her panting and acting funny, I have an appointment for her first shots in about a week and a half but for now I'm just looking for some advice or tips. My room is actually pretty hot [we took out the AC' s] and I have 2 fans going and I'm trying my best to keep her from running around chasing balls, any advice would be greatly appreciated!!

Ok, so i'm not really a cat lover, but this cat kept comin into my garden, its a stray, but it's the cutest cat i ever seen, it took weeks though before he'd even come near me, even while i was feeding him tuna everyday, so now he basically lives with me, he lets me pick him up and stuff, and he's really affectionate etc... but when i try to bath him, he wont have it, turns nasty on me, thing is he has fleas, any ideas??

We have a stray cat hanging around. He is very friendly and clean looking. I went to look and see if he was a male or female and his ummm "package" looks just like our male cat who has been neutered...any thoughts?

my cat has stones and the vet says its because we started feeding him the cheep cat food. so isnt it pretty messed up that they can sell cat food that makes ur cat sick and cost you hundreds of dollards?

I will make a vet appointment if I have to but am trying to avoid the extra cost right now. She is a white cat & has clusters of black spots on her chin. Fur is missing in small patches. I put peroxide on it daily. Every website that I go too just says that vet care may be needed if it does not go away. I want to know if anyone has treated this on thier own & had success.

TIA

Some of you may be aware that I asked a question about my kittens eyes around a week ago. Well, the kitten was taken again yesterday and kept overnight, so that the vet (Goddard veterinary group - I live in the UK) can do a blood test and urine sample overnight.

They just phoned me up, and said that the kitten (Who is 5 months old), has something called FIT. What is FIT? He was saying that she has an underlying viral condition, and that she displays the classic signs of FIT, that she will have this problem for the rest of her life, and will most likely die soon anyway. He also said that it's up to me, but since treatment (And there isn't even any effective treatment for this type of condition) is going to be expensive, I can go to a charitable organisation and see what they can do. But he reckons that they won't be able to do much anyway, since even if they agree to pay for treatment, she will die soon enough anyway.

I'm at a loss for words. I've had this kitten for 14 weeks.

My cat was a stray and now we took her in. Now she is pregnant. What other color kittens can come from her if she got together with a:white, white and black, blond, siamese or an orange cat?
these are the cats I've seen around but i don't know which one got to her. Please give suggestions for all five cats. THANKS!

ok..so i have 2 kittens inside that are ROUGHLY 4 months i guess and i'm planning on getting the male fixed but i think i have to wait till he is 5 or 6 months..but anyways i also have another male cat thats a indoor/outdoor cat he plays outside all day long and then comes in when it starts getting dark...he doesnt spray in the house or anything and so i was wanting to get him neutered as well..which should make him want to stay inside..right? and last, i have one more male cat that grew up from a newborn to pretty much adulthood in the house but since there are female cats that run around everywhere outside..he had started wanting to stay outside....i hate it because the other male cats that roam outside fight with him and he has nasty looking wounds all on his neck...and my bf wont let him be in the house because he will spray...we tried to let him in and he spray our couch...but now recently weve been letting him in to eat and hes fine..i will finish this in the upper section..

I told my girlfriend that her cat is not going with us to our new condo because the cat will do it's business all over and stink it up as it does not use the litter box. (IT'S A VERY SENSITIVE SITUATION)

2007-10-03 04:13:07 · 12 answers · asked by Serious Asker 1

I used this stuff on my three cats and the only thing it did was make the skin on the back of there necks peel off and the fur in that area is coming off in clumps and the worst, they still have fleas. I would never use this junk again. Any other ideas for getting rid of fleas.

My girlfriend and I just moved. We brought her cat with us, and left her sister's cat behind (with the sister)
So our cat is going through what I'm sure is a common transition where she's weary of new noises and whatnot.
After a day it seems like she started being less scared of every little thing, and she started walking around, looking at and smelling everything, and meowing.
We're assuming she's looking for the other cat since this is the same thing the other cat has been doing at her sisters.
I'm also assuming this is somewhat normal and she'll get over it in due time.
My concern is that she's not eating or drinking.

How long after a move should I be concerned about the cat’s lack of food/water consumption?
Would it be a good idea to make her drink some water?
