Cats don't have menstrual cycles. They have heat cycles. If a female is spayed, it will not go into heat. Make sure your cats are all spayed or neutered.

Cats do not have what is known as a menstrual cycle as women do, but having the female spayed (that is the term for the female, neutering is for the male) removes her reproductive organs. Liken it to a hysterectomy in women.

no when a female cat is spayed, the uterus and ovaries are removed. This leaves no chance of her going into heat.

No, they don't. They're basically given a "kitty hysterectomy" so, like human women, their uterus is removed thus stopping the menstrual cycle.
