ok like most cat owners you figure if the store sells it well it must be safe right, well apparently there is a debate whether clumping kitty litter is safe. so after switching to a better kitty litter whatever that may be.... how do you detox their lungs and bowel of the litter?thanx.

I felt like sleeping on the couch so i bought my blanket and pillow. I fell asleep it was a good sleept until. I woke up my head was hanging off the edge of the pillow. I looked my cat had the whole pillow. I petted her lightly saying "Hey give me some pillow." She opened her eye slightly and swooshed her tail over my face and went back to sleep.

I laughed and got up and got another pillow and put it at the other end of the couch. I went to get something to drink when. I can back she was laying at my new spot. I looked at her and ok I'll take my old spot. As soon as I lay my head down she came back. I laughed so hard I wasn't sleepy anymore.

Has this happened to anyone else. I would really love to hear it.
thanks

YES - I tried FRIDGE IT activated carbon on my cat's litter box and OMG, it works fantastic for this too. I had the worst odors from the litter box with 2 cats that I just could not get rid of. I tried everything including baking soda, various litter and lots of fragrances that just covered up some of the smell for awhile. This product really worked to ELIMINATE the stink from the litter box. Now, that room doesn't smell any more. See my earlier comment. Does anyone else use this product and where else can you buy it?

I originally found a product that really, really works to actually get rid of the fish odor in fridge and bad smelling ice in freezer. I've tried baking soda, lemons, and just about everything else. You've got to try this - FRIDGE IT odor absorbers. It's a little purple cube odor absorber and IT REALLY WORKS.
Anyone else use this product? Love to share stories when I find such a great product that does what it says it will do PLUS more.

On saturday we adopted a 6 year old female cat. We also have a 14 month old male cat who weve had since he was a kitten. As i dont really know much about the adopted cats past, i dont know what behaviour is normal and whats not. She has a lovely temprement and she is petite (much smaller then my other cat!) Since she came on saturday morning she has stayed in the kitchen on the top of the fridge only moving to eat and toilet. My other cat sometimes follows her then he usually swipes for her and she seems quite scared, Is this why she is staying on the fridge? Also last night i noticed she was drooling alot, is this caused by fear? Is 6 years old quite old for a cat and is it normal for her to spend most of the day on the fridge. (they have both been neutered) What is normal behaviour for a 6 year old cat?

You know how people always say to spay and neuter your dogs and cats, I am all for that but wont it eventually lead to dog and cat extinction if they keep reproducing less and less to the point that they will not reproduce and more becuase the goal is to spay and neuter all.

I have two kittens that are on Antibiotics to get rid of their stuffy noses and runny eyes. One had a cough but that cleared right up in a day. I've had them on the antibiotics for over a week and they're still stuffy and have runny eyes. I'm just curious of when these should clear up. I know meds take times sometimes.

I have these yellow dish washing gloves. I use to wash my dishes because I like to use really hot water. When I'm using them my cat looks at me. When I'm finnished I put them on the sink to dry. She jumps up there and plays with it she tears it to shreds. She plays with it like its the best think in the world. She lays on it and rubbs it on her face. When i take it away from her it's like tug of war. I throw it away she goes and graps the other one I have left.

I think it's cute but I always wondered why cats go nuts over such things? Thanks

This just started. She uses the cat litter box most of the time, but occasionally pees in the wrong place. For example, on the carpet in the family room, on the bathroom bath mat, and on the sofa.

Our current resident stray, Bill, is a castoff pet. He's been in fairly good health until recently. One front leg is injured and he won't put any weight on it. The other front leg has a scratch and is swollen. My MIL has been feeding strays for several years now, and many of them have ended up in our house (a duplex). She is older and has no money to burn. We have two cats of our own to support. My husband & I are of differing opinions. One of us feels that Bill should be taken to MADAC and that even if he is put down he'll be better off in light of the upcoming Wisconsin winter and the fact that he'll likely suffer more as time goes on. The other feels that he should be left to live out his life naturally. Another concern is that my MIL may decide to bring him in the house and he is an intact male. My MIL has been feeding strays for years now, and literally 100's have passed through our lives. Bill won't be the last. Providing vet care for all these strays is not an ....

I think fat cats are just the kitten's whiskers! It would be nice if she was overweight because she won't go very far from home. And nothing is cuter than a beast cat with a scrunched up face.

My husband and I went to adopt a kitten. It was sooo cute, gray with white paws. But in order to be considered we had to fill out like 7 forms , a background investigation and 100 dollars. After we applied and everything we but we were beat out by a couple with a bigger home. I was so upset. And I dont just want to outside and pick up a stray. Is there an agency with an easier way to adopt?

I've noticed that my 9 month old kitten has gotten very skinny over the past month. He's always been on the slender side, but he's become way too skinny. I know that he eats like a pig because I see him eating and I can hear him eat. He also throws up a lot. I don't notice it because he swallows it right away. My 1 year old cat is huge, he's got a little fat pouch. I just recently moved, so could that have something to do with it? Is there anything that I can do right now, since I don't have the money at this time to take him to the vet. SERIOUS ANSWERS ONLY PLEASE!!!!

We rescued a cat about 3 months ago, she walked into our house one day and never left since. Well she does leave, spends most nights and some of the day outside (we have a garden), but comes back every day.
Now we are moving abroad and in a flat in the centre of town. I know she loves hunting, brings mice every other day and shes just not happy inside.
I have found a lady who rehomes cats with an elderly home, or should i say estate, with acres of land.
I feel very saddened to leave her but could not bear the thought of her being unhappy in a close environment either.
Whats worse for a cat, trauma of leaving us or trauma of living indoors...Any advice?
