I felt like sleeping on the couch so i bought my blanket and pillow. I fell asleep it was a good sleept until. I woke up my head was hanging off the edge of the pillow. I looked my cat had the whole pillow. I petted her lightly saying "Hey give me some pillow." She opened her eye slightly and swooshed her tail over my face and went back to sleep.

I laughed and got up and got another pillow and put it at the other end of the couch. I went to get something to drink when. I can back she was laying at my new spot. I looked at her and ok I'll take my old spot. As soon as I lay my head down she came back. I laughed so hard I wasn't sleepy anymore.

Has this happened to anyone else. I would really love to hear it.
thanks

My Cats Will Do Something Like That Like If Im Folding A Big Blanket And I Put It On The Ground She Will Go Lay On It So I Can't. My Cats Do It Because They Want More Of My Attention. So Maybe Your Cat Wants More Of Your Attention. Or She Doesn't Want You To Go To Bed! lol

My female cat, Rudy, sleeps on my "spare" pillow almost every night while my male cat, Wolfgang, sleeps at the foot of the bed. If I get up to go to the bathroom during the night, or when I get up in the morning, Rudy moves from the pillow to the spot immediately below my pillow, where she snuggles up until I get ready to leave for work. If I just get up to go to the bathroom, when I go back to bed I have to literally pick her up and move her as she doesn't want to leave the warmth of my spot! She will usually then get on my hip and lay down and purr for a long time. If I try to pet her, she'll leave. So I've learned not to touch her when she's on my hip! She only weighs 8 pounds. At one point in the past I had another female cat who would watch Rudy do this and then she started perching on my hip too--only thing was, she weighed 17 pounds and there was a world of difference in the weight I was carrying!!! It got awfully uncomfortable after awhile.

Yeah, my cat does that too. She just loves to be by me. She will be sitting on the couch, asleep when i get home. I will walk in, pet her, and go over to my recliner and put my legs up. She wakes up, sees me and immediately jumps onto my chair and lays between my legs. In my bed, she saw me accidently hit my head one night on the window sill, so she now takes my small pillow and sleeps on it on that side of the bed so that i don't hit my head anymore. I lvoe my cat!

I tend to trust feline judgment when it comes to sleeping spots. Sounds like your couch is a good place for a nap!

My cat sleeps on my pillow every night. Sometimes she shares it and sometimes she doesn't. I think it is because it is warm from my body heat and because it has my scent on it.

spray your cat with water anytime you see it on it or put a scent the cat doesn't like on it if that don't work it just means she likes you sleep on a big bed so your head does not fall off the bed
