I have a tabby, she's obiese but I've been trying to help her on that. She's always had a sensitive spot just before her tail on her back. But recently she's become more and more sensitive all the way from her mid section to her tail. There doesn't appear to be a rash, but when I pet her I have to stop half way down. When I do pass over the spot, she meows, sticks out her tongue and/or tries to nip at me. Does anyone know whats wrong and what I can do about it? Thanks

So here's my situation. I have two outdoor cats. One of them is of perfect weight and the other looks like skin and bones! I've wormed both of them and I always keep a full bowl of dry cat food available for them. I see him eating all the time but he never gains any weight. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Does this show make you mad or make you cry, both or do you just not watch it because you don't want to get emotional?

Everyday I come home and kitchen floor is soaked in water, I have tried different types of water bowls. I have even moved it to different locations, and he still does it. I just can understand why, my female doesnt play with the bowl at all. Maybe its just some kind of game, but hes gonna ruin my house. Any suggestions???

How long after the loss of a pet is it common to get a new one? I just lost a cat, and I'm devastated.

I have a female torti who is indoor/outdoor. When I walk my dogs she follows us through the entire neighborhood. (I have to watch my routes so that she doesn't learn where the busy roads are.) Does anyone else have a cat that follows you on walks?

I think she does this because when we walk it's early in the morning and I haven't fed anyone breakfast. I think she just doesn't want to let me out of her sight before I feed her breakfast LOL!

I've tried everything from changing her litter, more food, more treats, more playtime, more cuddletime. I just cannot get her to be quiet and I live in apartment where they are not all to fond of my Cat(who was grandfathered in by the previous owner). Any suggestions?

My Cat's claws are getting stuck into everything. I don't want to declaw her because I heard it is cruel. (Please correct me if I am wrong with that) I want to trim them, but I am afraid of cutting one of her vessels. How do I trim them or is it easier to take her to her vet and have them do it? Thanks.

hi,
ive got a cat that stands out which everone down my street loves and adores, lets say shes got long hair multi coloured like something you'd hold for hours on end on a cold winter day, shes got 1 blue eye and one green eye, she stands out to all the cats if i can there might be a pic near my name if not you'll have to imagine, anyway shes a big attention seeker, she loves strangers and excellent with kids, its like if an adult pulled her tail she'd probably spit and run off but if it was a kid she'll stay there and let them play without being violent. well i had an idea to put her into acting, well tv extras but im not sure how, she makes lassy look like an abandoned dog lol, shes like an odd cat that loves the attention and if she doesnt get it she'll give you a look that will make you want to give her attention, so any ideas??????? plus shes a big fat cat and cuddly

I already have two adult (male) cats, aged 6. Two weeks ago I picked up a stray cat which was noticed around the neighbourhood for the past 6 months. I took her to the vet and she is healthy (approx 4 years old). I have not let her out as yet and to be honest she has not looked interested to go out, until this morning. I tried putting a lead on her (which is what I did with my two boys when they were kittens) but she was too scared and ran around the garden nearly strangling me and herself. Is there any advise you could give me to hope that she will come back if I let her out ?

We got a new cat, she is 1-2 years old. The first few weeks were ok, but now for the last 2 nights she is Meowing all night long. We give her food and water when she starts this Meowing and usually she wolfs down some of it (even if she just ate) and then goes back to her noisy meowing. Can anyone advise? We are losing our mind because of her. BTW, she used to live on the stree, and we do not let her go out so we are thinking she might be trying to tell us she wants to go out. But, she was fine the first 2 weeks and didn't want to go out at all).

people criticize you for investing a great deal of time, energy, affection and money for the well-being of your cat? Isn't it hard to explain that your own well-being is connected to the cat's well-being? Is that so strange for people to understand?

How old do cats have to be (both male and female) to mate? Are they fertile at this age?

My friend had to give up her cat because her son was allergic to him. I offered to "foster" him until we could find a permanent home for him. He is three years old and he is not neutered. I had him for a week and he meowed (more like yeowling) constantly. The only time he stopped was when I would pet him. I would pet him 24/7 if I could but not possible with work and kids. Anyway, one of my kids left the door open for a split second and he was gone. Two days later my friend opened her back door and there he was. Thank God! We were both extremely worried about him. I also should mention that at her home he was an indoor/outdoor cat. During his brief stay with me, he was strictly indoors because we live in the city and I just don't think it is safe for cats outside. Anyway, he is a very good cat but I am worried that if he goes to another home they will not be able to handle his crying and he will most likely try to escape. Will having him neutered help? Looking for ideas. Thanks
