Hi there...consider using the dishes designed for big dogs. they have a rubber bottom to prevent skidding and are weighted correctly so they are difficult to tip over. http://www.sitstay.com/store/equip/bowls.shtml

For puppies I always use the clip on holders complete with bowl which you can clip over the side of their pen. This way they are off the ground so the pups don't keep colliding into them when they play. They are like the ones people buy for the inside of aviaries for birds, only larger. Most Pet Stores sell them. The shredded newspaper is something you have to live with when they are this age. It's a continuous battle to keep the pen tidy. As fast as I put clean stuff down they were straight on it and shredding it to bits. It sounds as if they are at the stage where they need to be in an outside shed or kennel with a puppy pen so they can now start to go potty outside. If you can incorporate a patch of grass within the pen so much the better. They should start to eliminate on the grass and this will save you a lot of hard work and also it's the beginning of housetraining. Ten puppies are a lot of hard work. If they are big puppies they could go to their new owners at 8 weeks. It sounds as if they would probably benefit from being with their new families now for one to one relationships. All the best.

Well what I would do is buy the dog stands that support both water and food dishes. These can be easily used for cats. We have a cat, so I know this works. The stands can be found pretty much anywhere. They range in height and the dishes fit right into the stand. This not only will help with the knocking over the water issue, but it will also help your cats neck because his dish will be up higher, not putting strain on his neck.

Go to Petco or Petsmart and get this thing it is like a tray and it holds food and water dishes low enough for a cat but off the floor. That way the bowls are off the floor and can't be knocked over.

He probably likes playing with the water. Get a big heavy dogs bowl to stop him knocking it over and put a plastic tray/mat underneath it to prevent the water actually getting onto the floor.
Hope this works!

Just get a heavy water bowl that it can't knock over. Or try one of those 'deep rock' style water feeders. I had one of those and had to keep a big fat rock on top because my cat would drag it across the floor! Its funny how they do that...but some of them just feel the need to do it!

Try bowls with wider bottoms, or heavy ceramic bowls he can't knock over. If that doesn't work, you can get a large water bottle like they make for rabbits and figure out a way to support it upright so they can drink from it.

I have seen some suggest those water bubblers. I've seen them at pet stores and they are like running water for the cat. I don't think they can spill them. My cat puts his toys in his water and then tries to pick them out with his paws while throwing water everywhere.

Well, if it was me I would buy him some toys that have little bells and stuff in them. Maybe that will help. My cat done that until I got her some toys to play with.
