I have a female torti who is indoor/outdoor. When I walk my dogs she follows us through the entire neighborhood. (I have to watch my routes so that she doesn't learn where the busy roads are.) Does anyone else have a cat that follows you on walks?
I think she does this because when we walk it's early in the morning and I haven't fed anyone breakfast. I think she just doesn't want to let me out of her sight before I feed her breakfast LOL!

When my oldest cat was an outdoor cat (she is strictly indoor now), every time I went out in the yard, she followed me everywhere. I felt like the Pied Piper. I think she knew she had discovered a good thing finding me (she was a stray) since I fed her. One day, she brought me 3 kittens in her mouth and dropped them under my door. I never knew she was a mother cat until she did that. I thought she had stolen the kittens! I kept her and the 3 kittens and still have her and 2 of the kittens. One died when he was only 8 1/2 years young of kidney failure.

Haha, yes my cat used to do this too! I'd be taking my little dog for a walk when all of a sudden I'd hear a cat meowing. I'd look and there'd be my cat running along behind us as if to say "hey you forgot me!!". I always thought it was so cute but I worried about her following me too far and getting lost. Thankfully once we left her "safe zone" which was about 4 or 5 houses down the street, she'd give up and turn around lol.

I had a stray cat that would follow my son and I when we went out on our walks around the block. It was a hoot to see this cat following us like a dog. He would always walk on the lawns or close to people's houses, never by the street. We always had to be careful if we were walking other places if not around the block....we didn't want him to follow us when I walked him to school. He was a great cat.....I miss him still.

My cats do not follow me on outdoor walk, but I did have a cat once who loved riding on my lap when I rode as a passenger on my ex's motorcycle.

When we were first married and had the baby, we would take her on walks and yes, our cat would follow us around the block. Then he'd go off on his own to explore! He was the greatest cat! =^..^=

Haha, cats are so cute. Everything they do has to do with food, I think. Cats are also very curious. Maybe she just wants to know where you guys are all going.

years ago one of our cats -male- used to "take me" to the corner where I would get on the bus for work and most of the time he used to wait for me in the evening if I would come back around 6!

We don't go for walks but when we're in the backyard, all our cats gather up with us and put on the best folly show you ever saw!
