Cats - October 2006

My friend told me last night, that her cat has Sinusitis... is that possible? And if so how can we help to alleviate the symptoms or congestiona nd such?

I know it sounds a bit silly, but gotta know :) hehe

He's about 8 mos old, and a stray, not feral
I´ve heard so many different stories.
Need all the info you can share please.
Do they stay home after neutering?
Does their character change?
Do they become fat?
Anything you can share

The adult tooth is fully grown in next to the baby one that seems like it's almost rotting. Should I just yank it out with a needle nose? Think it'll bleed or cause a lot of pain to cat? it really seems like it would just come right out.

I have 2 cats. I do not have close family in the same city, and I do not have friends who are close enough for me to ask such a favour.

I have been thinking a lot lately about accidents and came up with some "what if" questions.
What if I was in the hospital? Is there a service where they can visit your home to care for pets?
What if I was unconscious for a few days and not able to arrange for anyone to feed my cats and clean their litter?
What if I suddenly died?

Does anyone have somethign organised for their pets?

when anyone goes to the bathroom all of my cats i have three run into the bathroom a beg to be pet this happens to guests too and they know how to open doors (there is no lock on my bathroom door ) how can i stop this or should i live with it (sometimes its nice when you know your gonna be a while )

I have 3 cats and have moved one of their litter boxes to a new location. They know where it because they are using it. However, I keep noticing urine and poop in the place where their box used to be. I've tried spraying the area with carpet cleaner, that Urine Gone from TV (doesn't work, so don't bother), and I've tried putting other stuff in that area, but they keep doing it. I'm not sure which one it is either or if it's more than one. I have 2 females (1 adult, 1 kitten) and 1 adult male. Any ideas or suggestions would be appreciated!

I'm a landlord and I've got a real strong potential tenant. They've got a cat. I've heard lots of horror stories about cats destroying carpet, very strong urine smell, etc. Is there anything I can put on the carpet that will discourage a cat from using it as a toilet?

There is a stray cat that comes to my house and eats my cats food (my cats an outside cat)and today when i went outside to give my cat some food she was playing with this stray cat ,i stood still to see if the cat had noticed me ,it did but didnt run away , i said here kittty ,kitty kitty cuz thats my cats name(weird huh)and she came and along came stray cat once i put the food on the ground the stray cat rushed to it and started eating it i was shocked on how hungry it was. I dont know what to do with it im kinda scared to touch it, cuz it might scratch me.what do u guys think i should do? Im not sure if its male or female but im pretty sure its female cuz it was kinda chubby and it was starving so im guessing its pregnant ,how do i test to see if it wont scratch?

I think it may be a girl cat as theres no fighting,they just sit around her and watch.But now my male cat is making weird sounds at night and burrowing down into the blankets.He seems distressed at times and then starts purring as soon as he's under the blanket.Does anyone know what this behaviour could mean?He's eatng fine and otherwise seems himself.We found him as a stray and he is nuetered.

She has done it twice now last week and this week. I think she might be jealous of the stray cat my mom feeds and pets. MY mom has her door closed so she can't pee in there. Now I have a baby gate up 24/7. Is there any way I can get her to stop peeing on things other then in her litterbox agian?

What are those cone collar things that cats & dogs wear to keep themselves from biting themselve ect when they get hurt??? My cat has a small bite from another cat on his tail & I want to clean it up & he keeps attempting to bite me, so I just want to get one of those but I have no clue what they are called. How can I stop her from peeing on the beds? She has a clean litter pan nearby and yet she will jump on the bed and pees on it. She has peed on other things than the bed. We clean her litter pan every morning and night. I have thought of putting her down because of it. It is gettting to the point where we are fustrated with her. We love her a great deal but this peeing business on our good beds is not approvable. What should we do - get rid of her by either putting her down or giving her to someone else with the knowledge that she pees on beds or keep plastic sheets on our beds when we are not in them?

But now he yells to go back outside He wont stop crying and scratching at the door soooo pitiful .Should I let him ? My kitten is 5-6 months old. I have seen similar questions regarding kittens who suck on their owners clothing but all of them seem to be under 2 monthes. She will just jump on you in the early morning and I cant make her stop. Please give me some tips and help me stop her. We've even tried kitten milk in a bottle and nothing works!
