E - Collars for short.... proper name is the elizabethan collar - call your local vet and see if you can get one from them. :-)
Also, watch that wound carefully. Cat bites can get infected very easily and quickly. You don't want your cat to end up with a serious infection.
i would recommend taking him to the vet and getting him on a round of antibotics.

Contact your local Veterinarian, they will probably sell you one. But if it is that bad that the cat keeps trying to bite you, It may mean that the bite is infected and pain full, which this should also be looked at by your vet. There are a number of diseases that can be transmitted this way. Err on the safe side and see the Vet.

My vet called it the cone also.I've never seen the for sell, but if you take a towel and wrap the cat up in pretty tight with just the tip of his nose out , you'll be able to clean his tail and not get bit.

Go to your vet and or a pet store and have a protective cone put on, make sure it is the right size, so your cat can-not get out of it. They are protective measures. Nice that you care for your cat, good animals lovers are hard to come by. :o)
