All of my cats spontaneously developed loose bowels with the most god-awful, gagging, run from the room, open the windows, horrible stench. I haven't changed their food, given them any unusual treats, they don't seem to have gotten in the garbage, they all eat fine and don't have temperatures. No blood or evidence of worms in the poo. I'm losing my mind from the stench and the poopy footprints though. Help. Please, help.

There's an open question regarding the utility of a black light on finding problem spots. Does it work only on "fresh" spots? Or would it help me identify, for example, a spot on the carpet that was peed on and has since dried?

My 2 year old male cat has recently been uninating on my bed and in my hamper. I have no idea why he is doing this, a friend told me it might be a urinary tract infection so I bought some food for it in hopes that it would help....it didn't. I hate having to keep him locked in the bathroom but at this point I feel like I have no choice. I haven't taken him to the vet yet on account of the fact that I haven't had the time or money for it. Someone please hlep.

How many of you have a dog or dogs with seizures?

She is a very sweet and loving cat. She is very affectionate but a bit shy. She rubs up against me, licks my hands, and meows quietly when she sees me. However, she won't look at me. She'll look everywhere else but directly at me. Is this a submissive behaviour? We have 2 other male cats and she is definitely at the bottom of the pack, the last to eat. They are all fixed. What do you think? Do you have a cat that does this?

My husband and I bought this stuff on the internet called "Scat Cat". It seems to be working for keeping him out of areas of the house we don't want him. He is still persistent when it comes to not listening to us. How do you handle this?

I have a male "Tuxedo cat" who was born to a Siamese mother. All the other kittens in the litter looked like the mother except my Sylvester. He has the Siamese eye shape but his eyes are green and the mother and all the other kittens in the litter had blue eyes. Just wondering if Tuxedo cat is considered a breed or not since no one can seem to give me a straight answer on it.

She has had all the signs of pregnancy and was only sexually active once in mid Aug. She has gained alot of weight and has been nesting. Her personality has also changed. She has several pink pointy nipples with no hair around them. Have I misdiognised this pregnancy? or is she in danger being so late? A vet is a bit costly for me right now, but if there is a serious problem I need to figure out a way to get her in ASAP. Any help would be greatly appreciated!!!!!!!!!!!!!

how come I hear sometimes about some kids torturing cats (which I think is terrible) but I never hear the same about dogs,(not that I want dogs to be mistreated either). But why are cats more victimized.

My cat is normally very loving and cuddles. But when she is pregnant all she wants to do is run around the house like shes playing hide and seek with you. thats not all, i'll try to pet her, and she'll try to play with me, bite me, and scratch me. I thought cats are suposed to be more loving when they are pregnant? Also, this is her second pregnancy, and ever since her first, she really isn't the same sweet kitty i adopted...

I'm sure this sounds weird, but has anybody else had this problem? It usually happens when the kitten is feeling cuddly. She shows affection by licking my eye - the eyelid obviously, I don't keep the eye open. I think it's a suckling instict, like she's looking for her mama's nipple. I've had kittens try to suck on my earlobe before, but never the eye. And it's like she has lazer focus; she is totally intent on that eye. I can't tolerate her doing that, but I do want her to cuddle with me. I don't want to push her away every time she wants affection. She's about 4 months old now. Will this behavior go away as she gets older? Is there anything I can do to prevent it? It's kind of driving me crazy. I get woken in the middle of the night with a cat tonguing my eyeball. Any suggestions???

How do I get my kitten to eat from the food in a bowl? She was ill, and we had to feed her from a bottle (formula) and she had to have antibotics because she was ill. Now that she is recovering she won' teat food from a bowl, we still have to feed her from the bottle. Any suggestions?

I have had my cat for almost 8 years. We had him fixed when he was just a kitten..about 9 months old...and over the years he has turned into a hateful evil animal. I have tried to deal with this but it really got bad when my daughter was born. My husband hates the cat because of his attitude but he has dealt with it for me. Now it is gottne to be too much. He hisses and growls and strikes at you for absolutly no reason whatsoever and tonight he was mad so he went into the hallway and peed all over the floor and underneath the washer and dryer. I am scared that he is going to hurt my daughter one day for no reason and I think the time has finally come to get him out of here. I feel totally awful about it because I have had him for so long but I don't know what else to do. He is so mean and I don't even know why. He uses the bathroom on the floor and I just don't know what else to do. Do you think getting rid of him is the right thing to do? Serious answers please...thanks!

Hello there. My little sister brought home a cat she found on the way home from school today. He looks like a siamese. The kids at her school were picking on him, pulling on him and hurting him. He's extremely thin. His head is bigger around than his waist which looks like barely more than his backbone. His little back hips are so thin they're sorta jutting out oddly, but he doesn't seem to have too much trouble moving around save for being weak. He doesn't move much, but he also doesn't act like he's unsavable. Right now he's even getting a drink of water on his own. What sorts of things should I feed him to help put some healthy meat on his bones the fastest? My sister said that they did manage to feed him and he ate a bit. I'm just worried about his size. Anything that you can usually find around your house (not too unusual) that would help him most right now? It'll be a couple days before I can buy him anything special. Thanks in advance!
