Last year i rescued a kitten and she was only 2 weeks old she came out a fire, only problem is i never knew what kind of cat she was. Shes grey mainly but also has redish brown spots and a little dark grey/ black spots really long hair.. she kind of looks like a squirrill or something i have really not seen a cat like her. Her fur is like straight but its also kind of crimped. please if anyone knows or knows where i can find out.

About four weeks ago a stray young male adult cat showed up at our home. We have no female cats, so he isn't there for that reason. After two weeks we started feeding him cause we felt bad. I have other pets and kids. I have checked with the neighbors but they say he is not their cat. How long do i need to wait for someone to get him or for him to go home before I can have him neutered and get his shots.

When I moved into the house I live in now, the owner said he was fine with cats and would probably charge a $300 deposit. There is nothing for or against pets in the lease. Recently I got a kitten and he just sent me an email today saying he wants $100 more a month in lieu of a deposit! That just seems exorbitant. That is a total of $1200 a year--there is very, very little chance the cat will do that much damage during the whole interim I live in the house, let alone in a single year. My question is, who else pays pet rent? How much do you pay? Did you also have a deposit? Also, what are my rights in this situation? He did not specify anything in the lease, so can he just raise my rent like that or...? Help!

I live in California, in the countryside and there a few moutain lions here. Almost a year ago, I found a baby mountain lion around my front gate. I brought him inside and has been nursing him since. Now that He's gotten larger, I let him back in the wild. He still visits me daily, but He's been killing dogs, cats, birds, and leaving them around my yard. I thought it wasnt much big of deal, until this morning, I found a dead human body in the backyard. If I call the police, they might think I did it. What the hell should I do?

I have a 6-month old tabby that I adopted when she was 6 weeks old. She is EXTREMELY hyper and loves to run around and knock stuff down just like kittens her age tend to do. However, lately she has gotten worse and has started to scratch my bed (she never used to do that) and my chairs in the dining room (she has two scratching posts). When she does this, or other things she is not supposed to, I put her in the bathroom for a while to calm down. I sometimes feel guilty when I give her a "timeout" and I was wondering if I should stop doing this or if it is a waste of time. I love my cat very much, but when she gets into this destructive mode, I don't know what else to do for her to understand that what she is doing is wrong.

I recently lost my beautiful cat, Mufasa and I miss her alot but my house seems so empty without a cat.

Cats are my favorite pet to have because they are so lovable. Tuesday will be a week since she died and my mom is already considering getting a kitten. I'll admit that I do want another kitten but when I think or say that, I feel so guilty.

Do you think it's too soon after losing a cat we've had for 8 years? We wouldnt be replacing her because no one will ever be like her but do you think it would be dishonoring her memory?

I would really like anyone's opinion on this unless they are going to be rude or insulting or plain and simple mean.

I have a 2 yr old cat that I have had since he was 5 mos old. Last week I adopted a 5 mos old kitten. This week was frustration, over the weekend my older cat would chase and corner my kitten all over the house. This morning I caught his licking the kitten and I thought they were finally settling down, then later my older cat was chasing him again and they swat at each with their paws and all. Does this mean they are getting along and I can now have them sleep in the same area and move the kitten our of his isolation room I had set up?

My daughter who is 8 years old insists on smothering and kissing the cat. He is 9 years old and we adopted him 4 months ago. He runs out of the room when she comes in. She is getting increasingly frustrated. She tries to be friends with him but he just runs off and she chases after him shouting 'You stupid cat,'. She loves him but doesn't know how to treat him in a way that will endear him to her. Any advice?

My kitten comes running any time any door is open. I am even talking the refrirator.
If I open he refriarator he jumps in.{ He gets no food from the frig.He eats dry food} If the front or back door is opened he tries to run through.
Luckily I have a front and back enclosed porch. But still he has gotten out 3 times. I tried squiting him when he gets near the door but it doesn't help and he is very fast. I want him to stay inside, I don't want an outside cat. He has a freind ,who doesn't run out ,So hes not lonely.

We have a 2 year old black cat. We also have two other cats. Daddy, mommy, baby. In the Last three months, the daddy cat has been beating up every cat that comes along our street, EVERY cat. He thinks he owns all 7 houses by us. He really hurts these cats, to where they are limp. And the cats are in there own yard, now he is attacking our girl cat, his sister. He is being a big bully, but when he comes in the house to eat and sleep, he's a sweetheart. What is going on? I feel bad for the neighbor cats. Any non snotty advise would help, thank you...FYI Yes he is fixed, and has all his shots up to date, No, we can not keep him inside, we have 3 little kids opening the door all day. We did get a puppy three months ago, but I think this started before that?? don't know....
