I agree with WorldsWirelessWebs in that, though your kitten may have Persian ancestry, she doesn't seem to have inherited either the long coat or the short face ... however she is marked like a Turkish Van.
About whether she is male or female - normally, the females openings are closer together than the males - however as you've only the one kitten, then you have nothing to compare them too. I've found some illustrations on some websites that may help ... just scroll down till you find the illustrations. Hope that they help.
By the way, whatever he or she is, he's still very cute... and quite like one of the Turkish Van Cats on the website.
PS Boy cats have nipples too!

Your kitten appears to be a domestic shorthair. A domestic shorthaired kitten could have a Persian parent, but Persian characteristics usually show up in a broader face and more square body style, even if the kitten is shortcoated. The color pattern of your kitten, being white with patches of color on head and tail, incidentally, is sometimes called the "Van" pattern, like the typical pattern of the pure breed longhair called the Turkish Van Cat.

that's no longer an American Shorthair - that's a companion and youngsters shorthair - a cat of no particular breed. Did you purchase your kitten from a breeder and get papers for her? No, you probably did no longer. meaning this kitten is not any breed in any respect. that's a "companion and youngsters" merely like over ninety seven% of the cats in this finished planet. What do you propose you "think of" that's a he? Why have not you taken it to the vet to be regarded at and get it extremely is first set of photos???

your cat just appears to be a domestic shorthair, as for girl or boy you need to look at the back end, if you see the butt adn then a little spot a couple inches under that then it probably is a boy if you see a butt and then a little line it is probably a girl, but a vet will be able to tell you better when you take it in to get it's shots. Good luck.

ok so not a persian cat. that's just a short haired cat. and at 10 weeks old you should be able to tell a boy or girl. most girl kitties will have like what 6 or 8 nipples. you should be able to feel them

He is simply a cute little domestic shorthair.
The "Van" pattern is very common in many breeds & mixes. It does not mean that the cat carries any angora or persian ancestry. It is simply a coat pattern.
