You can buy a small Havaheart trap that would catch kitten for about $20 where i am. Buy one. Our local rent-all places have them to rent also.

they have to be eating something, or they wouldn't be able to be lightning fast. If kittens go for more than a day without eating, they get weak and frantically hungry. Use something like canned tuna or canned fish flavor cat food (something with a strong smell that will attract the kittens) and try to lure them into an enclosed place (like a garage or a shed) where you can shut the door once they go inside. I once caught a wild kitten by putting tuna canned cat food in the back of a VariKennel plastic pet carrier and sat very quietly nearby until the kitten went in to eat, and then shut the door. After that I put the kitten into a large cat cage, mostly darkened so the kitten felt safe, it took me about a month to tame the kitten, but he became a very sweet house cat once he got adjusted. A wild kitten usually is very hungry, needs deworming, defleaing, and needs treated for ear mites, and vaccinations. Its very likely that a humane organization would help you trap the cats. Another possibility would be to ask a local wildlife rehabilitator, or call the Department of Natural Resources office in your area to ask where to locate a wildlife rehabber. Rehabbers often have humane traps and other such things, as tools of their work with wildlife

First of all, humane traps are what, $50-$60, assuming you can't borrow them from your local animal control/ASPCA for free,so I don't know that a "collection" is really necessary. Call the shelter and see what they can do for you.
Second, if they are "lightning fast" then they are obviously getting nutrition from somewhere. Starving kittens would be pretty sluggish; so they are able to eat solid food. Try leaving out canned cat food to attract them and gain their trust.
The longer those cats are left wild, the less chance they will be adoptable later. Even if trapping them is traumatic, they will get over it if treated well by people from then on. Remember, it is the cage that scares them when it is "sprung" and people who let the cat out and feed it afterwards, that is what the cat will remember, it doesn't necessarly connect that a person set the trap.

I wouldn't worry too much about scarring the kittens for life, you'll only make them fear boxes, not humans. They're not intelligent enough to connect the box trap to humans. So just catch them and then feed them and they'll trust humans again.

Why do you need donations to trap a kitten??

No! There is no humane kitten trap. If it is a single rectangular box with bait in it, that's not humane. The kitten(s) will get scared and may be affected for life. If humans handle them cruelly, they might never trust humans again.

Nobody who cared about kittens would ask for money to rescue them.

No way!!!They are probably scared and you may need to try and attract them with something to earn their trust. If you trap them, or make them come forcfully, then how are you going to expect them to trust you?

No, wild kittens cannot be domesticated and should not be relocated to wreak havoc elsewhere they need to be destroyed.

YOUR BETTER OFF NOTIFYING YOUR LOCAL SHELTER. SEE IF THEY CAN TRAP THEM. IF NOT, BORROW A HAVE-A-HEART TRAP, AND GET THEM TO THE SHELTER. THEY'LL GET THE VET CARE THEY NEED AND CAN BE ADOPTED OUT. OTHERWISE, THEY'LL START BREEDING AND YOU'LL HAVE COLONIES OF UN-CARED FOR CATS. IT'S INHUMANE.
