We have a leash and harness for her but everytime we put it on she just goes limp and falls over. I want her to feel the sand between her toes, hear the surf, read a book under a palm tree (JK!). But really, bad idea?

I have a favorite reading chair and I'm always competing with my cat for it. If I get up, she jumps right on it and stays for hours. Or she's sitting on the office table, on top of something I want to look at.

Is it wrong that I kick her out of her favorite spots when I want them? Am I being selfish and a generally bad cat parent?

I already have cat food, he is about 4 months old but I want to give human food so he won't get stuck with the same meal every day.

My friend has a cat named Mammal, he also has a nick name for her, it's Beast! Isn' that a strange name for a cat? By the way his cat is the coolest laid back cat I've ever met---reminds me of good ole Garfield!!

My kitten (4 months old) has the WORST gas quite frequently. We are sure she has some type of worm - as she is outdoors and eats mice daily. Since she is outdoors and there is no way to curb her rodent catching and eating (which she loves), is there any effective way to treat her worms? What type of worm do you suppose she has (tape/hook/round)? I've looked into getting Tape Worms Tabs, which are an over-the-counter form of Droncit, which is for tapeworm, or Erliworm, which are chewable tabs and treat roundworms. Any advice would be appreciated. Thank you!

Also - she is a very healthy and active kitten aside from the gas/worms. She eats normally and is a healthy weight.

I have an 8 week old kitten. She uses the litter box during the day. At night she sneaks in my room and pees in my bed about 5 am. I took her to the vet and she was treated for a tapeworm and roundworms. Ever since she was wormed she has been peeing in my bed. This is the fourth night after the medication and she still pees. Should I get rid of her?

I'm adopting a kitten that was born eyeless. I wanted to know if anyone here knows of any complications she may face in the future?

I know she has a high possibilty of getting infections, and she will most likely have her eyes sewn shut. I work at a vet's office, but I want others opinions, especially owners that have had a simillar situation.

thanks!!!

the cat that we had 14 years ago when we got divorced. She is now 18 years old and he kept her in the basement where it is damp and cold for the last 4 years. When I saw her the litter box was overflowing and her water bowl was dry. I basically stole her from out of the house. I have taken her to the vet and the groomer for a bath. I live almost 200 miles away from my ex-husband. He is mad that I took her. She is doing wonderful at my house. She is very old so she sleeps alot and craves attention which I give her alot of. Do you think I was wrong?

i have just settled into a new house with my fiance but what i miss from 'home' is the cat and dog. i really want to get a kitten as its not fair to leave a dog all day. Anyway, i don't mind litter trays to begin with but want to train it to go outside, my problem is that front and back gardens are both paved and didn't think cats would go on paving stones and maybe need grass. I'm thinking it will venture into neighbours gardens, which i doubt they'd appreciate. Is there another way? help! i really want one!

I just wanted to know how many people have seen an orange and white tabby female cat. 95% of the orange and white cats are male. I have had four orange and white cats all of them were male. I had never seen a female orange and white cat and have always heard that the orange and white cats are male so when I got Toby I just assumed that she was a male cat and never looked to see anything different but when I took her to have her fixed I found out she was female and boy I was really surprised. The vet tried to talk me out of having her fixed. He said she was just rare.

not acting right?
i have a approx. 5 month old kitten (i think he's older because of his size). when i get up in the morning he's usually running around changing me and other things non-stop. This morning all he wanted to do was hid behind the couch, wouldnt even touch his food which he's usually so excited to get in the morning. He was eating and playing a little bit yesterday but not as much as normal...i had a bad experience with a kitten i got before him, and im worried there is something wrong...should i just keep an eye for another day...or can someone tell me what might be wrong with him?

we've been having an ant problem with his food...think maybe he ate some ants and is a little sick, ive also noticed he hasnt pooped much at all

he is drinking and eating, just not as much as usual...im thinking he might be constipated?
please let me know if you have any questions to help you answer mine, im desperate!

If you don't know facts please don't confuse me by giving your oppinion.
My child just started kindergarden this year and has contracted headlice which is very common. She has been treated and gotten rid of the little critters but we have cats in the house and I was wondering if the lice can live on them? I don't want to get my child reinfested.
