not acting right?
i have a approx. 5 month old kitten (i think he's older because of his size). when i get up in the morning he's usually running around changing me and other things non-stop. This morning all he wanted to do was hid behind the couch, wouldnt even touch his food which he's usually so excited to get in the morning. He was eating and playing a little bit yesterday but not as much as normal...i had a bad experience with a kitten i got before him, and im worried there is something wrong...should i just keep an eye for another day...or can someone tell me what might be wrong with him?

we've been having an ant problem with his food...think maybe he ate some ants and is a little sick, ive also noticed he hasnt pooped much at all

he is drinking and eating, just not as much as usual...im thinking he might be constipated?
please let me know if you have any questions to help you answer mine, im desperate!

it sounds like constipation, if this has been going on for more than a couple days you should take him to the vet for an xray and they will be able to tell if there is an obstruction that needs surgery, or if an enema will do. you can give your cat a table spoon ful of canned pumpkin, and put some mineral oil in his water. go to petsmart and get some laxatone and give him a large dose of that. if you don't see results in 2-3 days you should take him into the vet to get checked out.

If he ate some ants, it would not be a problem. Just extra protean. Unless you put down ant poison and kitten got into it or ate some poisoned ants. If you suspect accidental poisoning, take him to vet right away.
In fact, it's about time to have him fixed anyway, take him to the vet for a check up and it will ease your mind and he can get fixed.
As for the ants, there are cat and dog dishes that serve the food in the center of a little moat. You fill it with water and the ants drown. If the ants bother you. As I say, the cat just thinks its a small snack.

I would get in contact with your vet, taking your cat there would be the best but at least give them a call to see what they say. What type of food are you feeding him? Did you put ant poison down? Could the ants have eaten the ant poison and then the cat ate the ants? Could be a lot of things, what was the issue you had before with your previous cat? Could it be something similar?

Oh no, you look purely regularly occurring. you actual cant have an obese toddler at transport, I propose yeah some are large ( I had an purely approximately 11 lbs one... ) yet babys incredibly dont get fat till while they pop out and initiate ingesting and maximum of them loose their babyfat around 3 or 4. i be responsive to how difficult getting large may well be and a few comments people make are actual propose and hurtful. I cried many circumstances after somebody advised me how extensive i grew to become into getting with my being pregnant. Dont difficulty approximately what all of us says, You look appropriate and pregnant :) ( no longer extensive!!)

One thing is for sure, when a cat hides out, he/she is sick. There could be so many things wrong. If he/she does not have a fever, you could probably wait to see if this passes in a day or so. But if your kitten has fever, I would take him/her to the vet.
