you can give a tablespoon per day of canned pumpkin, mineral oil, and go to pet smart and get some laxatone and give a large dose of that to your kitten. that's what I do for my cat that has a constipation problem

DO NOT GIVE YOUR KITTEN MILK... I cannot beleive how many ignorant people on Yahoo incourage dumb things like that... argh...
milk is very bad for kittens - not only are they lactose intollerant but the calcuim contributes to urinary tract problems so its simply not good anyhow...

the canned pumpkin is the correct answer, increase the kittens water intake by feeding it 1 teaspoon canned mixed with 2 teaspoons of water - do this 3 times a day (also note kittens/cats DO NOT need more than 1 teaspoon of canned food per feeding)
I would be curious what kind of food you feed your kitten that is causing constipation - you may need to swtich foods... some grocery store foods are very low in nutrion and high in fillers (corn, by-products) which cause constipation problems

WARNING: DO NOT GIVE ASPIRIN LIKE THAT MORON SAID IT CAN BE FATAL!!!!!

There is special high fiber food, canned formulas sold at the vet for about 2$ per cans. I mix it with a bit of water. You can also try lax-atone which is used for hairballs and constipation, 12$ at the vets.
You can also give him a bit of mineral oil.

Home remedy:
Try a bit of all bran cereal mixed with lots of water
let it soak for about 15 minutes and give it to kitty
a couple of times.

Do not use milk, it is not good for cats. It will give him colitis, it is not good for cats livers, they do not have the enzymes necessary to digest cow milk. Tough it gives some cats diarrhea, it is not a cure for constipation.

Water helps the fiber work.
Also, when cats do not drink enough water, constipation occurs, and sometimes constipation dehydrated kitty so plenty of water is needed, to end this vicious circle.
Always feed your kitten top quality food and PROVIDE PLENTY OF FRESH WATER that you should change twice a day. If kitty refuses to drink add a bit of water to his food.

Keep your kitty litter box impeccably clean to motivate kitty to use it often...Cats sometimes hold it in if the box smells. Cats are finicky and dainty animals, they have an outstanding sense of smell and are very stubborn animals...

Do not give to much all bran or mineral oil, kittens are like babies really.
If all of this fails, consult a vet.
