i have a approx. 5 month old kitten (i think he's older because of his size). when i get up in the morning he's usually running around changing me and other things non-stop. This morning all he wanted to do was hid behind the couch, wouldnt even touch his food which he's usually so excited to get in the morning. He was eating and playing a little bit yesterday but not as much as normal...i had a bad experience with a kitten i got before him, and im worried there is something wrong...should i just keep an eye for another day...or can someone tell me what might be wrong with him?

keep an eye on him for the today and tomorrow if he doesn't eat or drink, take him to the vet right away. kitten illness comes on quickly and must be assest within a couple days. he may have a common but costly illness. the sooner they find out the better. you can decide they cheapest route to go.

you should take him to a vet as soon as possible, if a kitten isn't eating or running around like mad palying ther is most likely something wrong with him. As kittens immune systems aren't properly formed yet, it could be serious to have even a minor illness.

You should check to see if he hurt himself some how. Usually when a cat is hiding it is because they are sick or hurt. It is in their instincts to hide during this times. Either way, if he doesn't get better, take him to the vet ASAP!
